“PlayStation 6 release date surfaces in official documents from Sony. Just when people are finally able to get their hands on a PS5 – two years after the release date – we now have a timeline for the release of the PlayStation 6. According to official Sony documents, which have now been made public, the PS5 will go down as having the shortest lifespan of any PlayStation console. Well, that’s because the documents are being made public due to the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in response to Microsoft’s pending acquisition of Activision Blizzard, as reported by PlayStation Lifestyle. Although you’d think that precious details regarding the release window of Sony’s next-generation console would be kept in-house. Without further ado, on page 8 of the 22-page document, it is claimed by Sony that Microsoft had ‘offered to continue making Activision’s games available on PlayStation only until 2027’.This means that Sony apparently intends to release the PS6 sometime after 2027, which could make you think twice about sticking with your PS4 in the meantime.”

“A new Sony PlayStation 5 “Pro” could launch as early as April 2023, possibly with liquid cooling. It’s hard to digest that the PlayStation 5 has been around for three years now. Did you really thought that ps5 would last 10 years. Including cross gen games when ps6 arrives. Let's be honest this gen consoles were way behind pc from the beginning. I played across all generations and I feel like ps5 came out too late.

You have to be kidding me, they haven't even been able to make the ps5 readily available nationwide…people are still paying 1.5-2.5x msrp because of the "chip shortage". PS6 shouldn't even be in the conversation for another 3-4 years at least.

PS6, lol, We haven't even seen the full potential of the PS5 or Series X.
My problem isn't that most modern games use tried and true gaming concepts and ideas it's that most modern games live in the shadows of them without building off of them and of course the shady marketing of most modern games really doesn't set well with me ever and why I haven't bothered buying any modern games or systems since playstation 3.

I think a new console evey two years is better for gamers. Just like PC games get new hardware year rounds consoles can easily catch up and because now they are running pc specs, keeping up with better hardware and more fps is even more beneficial. Consumers will now have options whether a low tier console or high end console.

What sony, msft, and nintendo need to do is come up with a unified console they can all develop games/peripherals for. Kind of like a PC but standard hardware and custom OS.

The ps2 .. Man I played movies .. Games hosted games .. Traveled with it put quite a load on it.. But for me ps3 ..blue ray an I have a ton of games for it
The PlayStation 2 is arguably the best console, in my opinion for several reasons. No updates for nothing. What you see is what you get. Developers were forced to make sure they didn't have bugs that would make games unplayable. They had to check more carefully than now. No unreasonable loading times for its era. Well built controllers. 1080 Compatible, but rarely anyone knew or used its capabilities, and still the king in the most sold console of all time for good reason.
PS3 was the best console ever, PS1,2,3 obviously with Blueray capabilities. Up until now with PSVR2 had gaming been the same ish
