Micronesia, 2000 little worlds surrounded by the vast ocean… The one thing they have in common is the feeling that the Pacific Ocean is their only link with the rest of the universe.

We meet Augustin, the solitary sentinel of a cursed city, Pasan, the tribal chief and Bruce, the dedicated traveller.

  18. Absolutely mesmerizing! 🌊 Micronesia appears as a mysterious land in the Pacific Ocean where time seems to stand still. The breathtaking footage and the rich marine life 🐠🦈 have introduced me to an amazing new world I never knew existed. Thank you to the channel for bringing such a wonderful exploration journey. It feels like I’ve wandered into another world, full of mystery and wonder! 🌏✨

  20. my brother was in the peace corps in Pohnpei (Ponape) Island 75-77. oh his stories.
    From New Jersey US. After graduating at George Washington Uni in 75' he joined the Corps. He loved teaching. He went to Pohnpei and learned the culture and language. He taught and took care of the delinquent kids and schooled them. The local Sakau drink became a problem. He had to learn their fishing and agriculture. He was so well respected, a family adopted him. He would talk about his fishing excursions and underwater experiences with the fish. The food, the beetle nuts, Taro and beautiful women. He learned about how much respect the elderly are given in this culture, unlike others. 
    The songs and tribal ceremonies that were magnificent. The sunsets, Nan Madol, the Japanese WWII artifacts still there.
    The flowers, the wonderful smells of pureness. We spoke to him once on the Ham radio.
    Our father had passed. in 77', and he dropped everything to come back. That summer both he and I traveled to Europe together backpacking and trains for 2 months.
    From there he went to Israel, and volunteered for the army. He was asked to join the Elite forces he was so good. He chose to stop there.
    He would years later travel back to Pohnpei to show his son, and then again his wife.
    He passed at 63 in 2015. We miss him dearly. A remarkable man.
    Bruce from Guam does remind me of him. The stories and reality Bruce mentions is all there. He is also a remarkable man. Kaselehlie (bye)

  33. If you think of the devastation the USA did to the Bikini atolls while you watch this it really is heinous crime against mankind
    How and why such desecration was allowed is beyond the realms of the human mind
    Look at how nature can repair itself and how it still has links prehistoriccally

  34. When I was a teenager this was the area where I most wanted to go (I have never been). The ancient stones at the start remind me of some other discoveries of ancient civilisations about which we do not really know. Even in the Amazon what looks like virgin rainforest at times is found to have had ancient civilisations' buildings in it. Here in the UK 5000 years ago similar ancient peoples also moved very heavy stones. The problem with linking people by radio is in a sense you do spoil it – the complete harmony with nature, the lack of desire for anything else. They are not easy issues.
