Michigan Report From Hell (or just Michigan in Japan) is an insane horror adventure developed by Suda51. Set in the USA, Michigan follows a TV troupe investigating a mysterious outbreak related to the mist. The game features grotesque moments and horror sections, but it is mainly an adventure.
Since you play the cameraman, the game will reward you with points based on what you focus on. For example, take a long recording of the reporter’s private areas for bonus Erotic points, while macabre details provide Immoral points. While the game is linear, it offers some branches, especially related to the death of the reporters. In fact, the death of any reporter is permanent, and a new reporter will then join.
During some scenes, you can decide if to switch off the camera to help somebody or to continue recording their morbid death. This is true also for the reporters, who in some cases can be abandoned to their death. While always filming.
