  1. Thank you Amy for being brave enough to share your 2 big experiences. The only thing that I can think of that would look like very big praying many is would be what I have heard victims of alien abductions describing the beings that were on the alien spacecraft, that were examining them. People that study alien abduction call them Mantids. Good luck in finding out more about them, if that is what you saw. Just like other alien types, they can try to make it so you don't remember the experience.

  2. It seems like I have heard several Sasquatch vocals that have sounded very similar to this one, which does sound like a Canadian goose also. Just like Sasquatch can make vocals like the owls do, but much loader and weirder.

  3. I'm in Michigan too and live very close to a waterway and there is a duck that sounds like that. It's not goose and they usually only come around at night or early morning. Not sure if it was actually duck or something mimicking a duck because it was daylight. When you hear the whoops you will know. The caller is north of me about 50 miles.

  4. You are a great interviewer. You let them talk. 🎉. I have seen about all the weird stuff where I live but that bug !? Hell no. I hate bugs. And a 8 ft tall one🎉. That is something else🎉🎉. And why a mantis🎉🎉 they are a deadly creature when 3 inches tall🎉🎉🎉 I its not stopping me from my research but I would rather skip this particular one🎉😂

  6. Amy check out a show called alien encounters. Two guys were walking to do some trout fishing. One guy went around the bend to fish when he saw a 11 foot preying mantis looking at him and he dropped his fly rod and took off towards friend. As he got to friend the mantis was coming around bend so he saw it also.

  7. First video is 100% Canada Goose (possibly separated from the group). We’re in the middle of a peak migration in the US right now. Easy enough to take out the smart phone, fire up the Merlin app, and record the sound and get a quick verification (the app lets you make calls back too- definitely should be an app that anyone in the woods should have as it’ll help avoid misidentification).

  8. My knee-jerk initial impression was also goose, and then I remembered most Canadian geese are in Cancun in January. And their habitat is near water and open grassy fields, not dense woodland. I've seen many geese but never in the woods where their most feared predators can hide. Also, the secondary whoop sounds nothing like a goose.
But I wasn't there so I'm not going to discount someone else's experience based on a 20sec clip.
I would leaned more towards crow/raven because they're super intelligent (7yo human equivalent) and expert mimics, (as good as parrots), given the way it responded to the OP's hoots, increased in regularity, and seemed to be getting closer.
Did he say there's something in the video at the very end, before he takes off running? I didn't see it but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that he saw something that caused him to tear outta there. That said, I don't understand why he kept whooping while he was running if he was scared. I also don't think he'd go through the trouble of contacting Miguel, sharing his video, and agreeing to be interviewed if he was running from a goose or a crow. And I trust Miguel's BS detection abilities to not post something that's possibly going to affect his credibility.

Thanks Miguel, you've been very productive lately, loving it!

  9. Amy, that's a wild encounter and I'm also a knower. Virginia has a lot of wild stuff that goes on. There's a guy that has a YT channel called Homesteading Off the Grid. He's also in Virginia and talks a lot about all the wild sht that happen there. Your experience is wild. Thanks and be safe. Thanks Miguel

  10. Those vocals are 1,000% a goose. Everything about it equals goose. I get that it could sound suspicious to someone who isn't familiar with goose sounds, but I am, and that's a goose. I know that Sasquatch are real, I've seen one, so I'm no skeptic. But that's a goose. People always want to say "well Sasquatch can mimic," and maybe that's true, but given the scarcity of sasquatch, vs the abundance of wild animals, if you're hearing what is a known animal sound, let's be honest, it's probably just an animal. Maybe Sasquatch can mimic bird noises, but when I go outside and I hear a bird call, I'm going to assume it's a bird, and not a sasquatch. The only real noises that you can put any stock into as far as evidentiary value, are noises that AREN'T known wild animal sounds. Because then you take away the possibility that it's just an animal.

  11. Amy, I understand how you feel. When I was young, about 12-13 years old. I saw a glimmering shaped rectangle, semi transparent. It was about 10 feet by 4-5 feet wide. The particles moved within itself, there's alot more to the story, too much for this platform. I have been searching all this time for someone that has had a similar experience. I feel haunted and alone. I am 65 now, still looking. I think about it every day. I hope you find your answer someday.

  12. I really wish people would learn their wild animal sounds. I know if you hear an unfamiliar sound that it can be scary and cause us to jump to conclusions, but people really need to familiarize themselves with wildlife, because 99.9% of the Sasquatch vocals I hear are just regular animals. Mostly Barred owls, because people have no idea that they can make shockingly loud calls that sound like HUGE pissed off chimpanzees, and I also hear fox calls, Fisher cats, cows, birds, panthers, etc., mistaken for Sasquatch calls. People don't realize that birds chirp at night, and they assume it's a sasquatch. People don't realize that cows can make a terrifying-sounding bellow at night when they're gathering the herd that sounds like a 30 ft tall giant mixed with a T-Rex that sounds like everything you imagine a Bigfoot roar what sound like. Etcetera etcetera etcetera. It gets so old. And do they mimic? Maybe, but I think we can all agree that Sasquatch are relatively scarce, and wild animals are NOT, so given the abundance of natural wildlife, and the scarcity of sasquatch, what's the most likely culprit?? When you hear an owl hoot, what's more likely, that it's just an owl? Or a Sasquatch? Like come on people. I get that it's more exciting to think it's a sasquatch, but we've got to go with the laws of odds and probabilities here. Unless it's a sound that is absolutely 100% not a known animal, and unless it's accompanied by other definitive Bigfoot activity, then realistically the sounds you're hearing are just an animal. And just another side note here, people want to see red eye-glow and assume it means Bigfoot, but multiple, multiple, multiple animals can have red eye-glow. Cows, pigs, cats, owls, just to name a few. My tabby cat has a bright red eye-glow. This is what I mean – people are just way too quick to jump to Sasquatch. And by the way, I am not a skeptic, I KNOW that Sasquatch are real. But I'm also realistic and healthily skeptical, as everyone should be. When we go assuming every animal sound in the woods is a "Bigfoot mimic," it just devalues the real evidence. This subject is already enough of a joke, we have to be really pragmatic and decisive when it comes to evidence. And I'm not specifically addressing this guest, just all people in general. And I'm not trying to be mean, but gosh it's frustrating.

  13. Shucks a goose ? I wanted it to be something else. haha but how is it the hunter who lives up there didn’t know what a goose sounds like? One more thing; sure they can mimic sounds of wildlife but it’s always off a little. You can tell it’s someone faking it so it most likely was a goose but that is a perfect place for cryptid creatures to roam around.

  14. When people say "what were you smoking," it is so insulting, and not to mention ridiculous. At no point in time has smoking weed or drinking a few beers ever caused me, or any other human being, to hallucinate a single damn thing. That's not how marijuana and alcohol works.

  15. Amy, don’t be embarrassed. These things have been reported. Not often, but this is not the first time I have heard of preying mantis creatures. I would urge you to continue research on the subject. Maybe speak to your mom as these things do happen generationally. Thank you for sharing.

  16. I mean, over the years I've heard several people say they saw a person-sized cloaked praying mantis and other insectoid-type things, but not with the whole day memory loss and it pointing its head at them type deal.

  17. Amy, you can google praying mantis cryptid. I hope that helps, and as far as the word that angel or whatever said, as long as you know the meaning, I wouldn't get hung up on the word itself. And don't be embarrassed.

  18. Hey Miguel I know you have family that don’t believe in these creatures and question your own word on it. I feel for you and I understand why you work so hard to find proof of it. You can take comfort in the fact you have another family; one who knows what the truth is and supports you and what you’re doing. God Bless you and your family Miguel.
