It was only a few years ago fans and media complained about the heat overpaying players.Present day…with the changes with the salary cap ramifications a wrong move can strap you to make further moves in the future. Tyler is a young star on the rise.Though dame is dame…he's 33,with a huge contract…Miami has done fine…minus injuries in the last 4 years. If not for injuries in the bubble…there might be a different champion (Heat)…that year..
You give up talented,and youth,and cap flexibility because of Lowry expiring contract,and ability to resign players…Trying to get Dame…doesn't guarantee a championship. The biggest thing is…welll…look at what happened with Aaron Rodgers……They don't need dame,in my opinion. Miami lost two championships in the big three Era….there again…mortgaging the "house" for dame…for me personally is not a good move,and guarantees nothing….Just my opinion
