Mets vs Cardinals Father's Day Series Recap | Mets'd Up Podcast

Something different this episode…we have our dads on to celebrate Fathers Day from Citi Field! Otherwise, this was not such a fun series losing two of three to the Cardinals. Kodai Senga and Tylor Megill pitched well and Francisco Lindor hit a home run after the birth of his second daughter. We also talk about Pride Night from Citi Field and preview our upcoming series against the Astros.

  1. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO RECAP? MEDIOCRITY, COMPLACENSY? A TEAM WHOSE MANAGER IS LOOKING LIKE A SECOND VERSION OF LUIS ROJAS. A LACKADAISAL TEAM WITH NO SENSE OF URGENCY, MEDIOCRE, GOING THRU THE MOTIONS. AN OLD OVERPAID UNDERACHIEVING STARTING STAFF, A FALTERING DEFENSE, A BADLY STRUCTURED ROSTER AND A BADLY STRUCTURED LINEUP. MARK VIENTOS BEING SCREWD UP BY SHOWALTER, A LOUSY GM. THEN YOU HAVE BILLY EPPLER AND SHOWALTER WITH A DISGUSTING ALMOST ROMANTIC CRUSH ON VOGELBACK. A STAND PAT OWNER WHO HASN'T SHOWN THE GUTS TO TRY TO STRAIGHTEN THINGS OUT. WHAT'S THERE TO RECAP? MORE OF THE SAME CRAP? COME ON,MAN.

  2. This season is over. The Cardinals put the Mets into the coffin; the Astros are about to bury them six feet under. It’s time to face facts: this is a bad team, and next year is going to be a train wreck too. I know there’s zero chance that this team will undergo a rebuild, but they should at least sell at the deadline. Yet I’m worried that they’re going to repeat their inexcusably stupid mistake from two years ago and be deadline buyers.
