Pisses me off as a native New Yorker the MTA cant even do this, but yet keeping the fares.
I wish we had this standard of cleanliness in the US. I’ve seen MTA employees clean the platforms, elevators, trains, etc. but no matter what they do the stations still reek of piss 🥲

The Japanese in general take pride in having a clean city. There are VERY few trash cans in the cities, but still, there's basically no trash, gum, cigarette butts etc. on the ground!
How Japanese people can breathe with all these masks? Not natural at all. We need fresh oxygen

Shows that some ppl take pride in what they own. I washed And waxed my car couple times a week. Or more if rained. Inside was immaculate. My wife will not wash or clean hers. Looks like she lives in it. Windows get so dirty can’t see out them. Shows I worked and bought my own cars but her dad bought hers each time growing up. She’s bought 2 brand new cars ands starts out cleaning and caring for them but slowly loses interest and cares less. Seems that starting at early age you’re more likely to carry those traits forever and working and buying everything in life affects you differently then being given everything. I guess after America destroyed Japan And they started over with nothing they now take extra pride and wants it to last longer. Unlike most spoiled lazy Americans that’s given everything.
You would never catch anyone scrubbing a wall in a public bathroom in America.
