I’ve picked out five awesome German heavy metal bands from the ’80s that unfortunately only managed to release one studio album. I can just about guarantee you haven’t heard all five of these, so settle in and check ’em out! Believe me, you’ll want to stick around through all five. There are some pretty amazing albums here that I’m dying to share with you all.

Bad Steve with former Accept members Jan Koemmet on guitar, Frank Friedrich on drums and Dieter "Rubi" Rubach on bass could be on that list. They only released Killing The Night.
There were a couple of other German bands with only one release. Sweet Cheater – Immortal Instant. They turned into the band Secrecy. The other band I remember are Wildcat – Love Attack. They also changed their name afterwards
I will get Vampyr.😀👍🎸🤘
I will get Forced Entry.😀👍🎸🤘
I will get Hammerschmitt.😀👍🎸🤘
Wow Vampyr had a really cool look!
Metal school? haha…great! I already enrolled. Nice video. Good job man! The image of the long haired guy studying hard the book about Metal bands made laugh a lot. 😄🤘
Violent Force
Please Malice next !!! 🤘
St anger vocals… it's a new dog.. .just terrible. Music 9 out of 10
Would love for you to do a Metal School reflection on the german band Thunderhead!
Bought the Saint's Anger lp back in the day. Great album.
Two recommended killer bands with just one album :
Biscaya from Sweden 1983
Headhunter ( ex Krokus and Killer ) from Switzerland 1985
I think VIVA with Barbara Schenker also only had 1 album.
It's getting harder to find flaws, but 12:10 you said Viper, not Vampyr. Incredible work, again, dude. Really!! You rule. – Jymbo (Sylent Storm/Emissary)
Good job!👍
Maybe you could mention BAD STEVE on your next German Metal video
Hoped for a Hammerschmitt mention and wasn't dissapointed. This sole album is in my personal Top 05. Everything is perfect, vocals, riffs, energy, production. If you don't know this album, make yourself a favor and listen to it RIGHT NOW!
NICE JOB BRO🤘Love the “Underground Metal Bands” in the 80’s🤘
That first band was appalling. Just terrible…
All these albums are classics. (I'm still awaiting a reissue of that Airwolf though.)
If there's another volume of this, I'd like to see included… Stormwind, Six Point Six, Rough, Breaker, Overdose (both of them), Invader, Mad Axeman, Axe Victims, Square and Bloody Climax.
Love your work!
2 years ago you made a video on Aria. It would be awsome if you could make a video on Kipelov seeing as how he's taken Arias place as the current best Russian metal band.
You do some great and informative videos on bands that definitely deserve much more exposure then they got back in the day, thank you.
If I may I'd like to suggest a few names for possible future vids.
1. TANK, and amazingly heavy and unsung band.
2. STILLBORN, most assuredly an awesomely heavy band that deserves a vid.
3. KILLER, a juggernaut from Belgium that although have released several albums have for the most part gone unmentioned (in the US at least).
Thanks again for the great vids on Manilla Road, Cirith Ungol, Loudness, Metal Church and so many other great bands you've covered on your channel.
Nothing about this video, but you could do a video about anthem, helstar, aria, killerdwarfs and coroner.
Some Christian Metal(I think), Whitecross,Petra,Holy Soldier and some more I can't remember now.
I really like Airwolf, dude some cool bands here that should of kept going 🤘🤘🤘
🤘🤘
Molto meglio se fosse stato strumentale,la voce è imbarazzante e rovina la buona musica
Saints Anger had a nice snare sound. 😉
Great video and an amazing collection of music. Shame these are difficult to get a hold of to listen to, though I think I spotted a couple full albums here on YouTube.
Great Germanic metal, I love it to this day! Saints Anger reminded me of Trance(mission), also from Germany. The vocals are very similar.
How on earth do you find not only the album’s of these bands but the videos? You are a master at digging this stuff up.
You never fail to rock my socks off dude. Still learning till this day.🤘😃🤘keep bringing it METAL SCHOOL.
Thank you very much for these fantastic Pick's. Fortunately I have one of the Albums (Forced Entry), that i have recveived as a gift for a order by the Mailorder EMP many years ago.
Keep on digging and showing those forgotten Masterpieces of Metal.
I didn't pay attention to the title of this video. I just assumed that helloween would be in this list. Then I realized that it was metal bands with just 1 album.
Such a shame they didn't release more albums. European metal is the best metal out there!
Saint’s Anger has a much better snare than St Anger
Tanks for the compilation. That made me order the Saint 's Anger Album today. 🤘It reminds me of the early days of Accept. I am glad that today there are still bands with that vibe e. g. Enforcer!
Vampyr sound amazing. The singer kind of sounds like Kai Hansen. Thanks Metal School!
Cool video. There were sooooo many bands trying to cash in on the urge of 80s metal. The clean vocals were about to become extinct in the next decade. Unless you wre already an established metal band, you werent going to exactly make a true historic mark in metal with these types of vocals in my opinion
TO SAD MEN:(
You forgot Final Prophecy! They even played as an opening act for Metallica in Germany. Once, I had a Gibson '76 Explorer from one of them via a guitar shop where it was for sale.
During Vampyr’s “Indianapolis” video, dude has the full on Udo machinations going on 😂
Really hope to see a “Bands with only 2 albums list” some day.
I don't know if they're as obscure but I'm gonna have to recommend Dark Avenger. They were on the Death Metal split with Helloween, Running Wild and Hellhammer, but broke up a few years later and never reached the level of influence and legacy the other three bands did. Absolutely killer stuff though.
on one hand its always sad to learn about guys only putting out one album and then dissapearing, but i wonder how many did other projects or stayed in the music biz as producers, studio musicians etc. All in all another great lesson shining some light on deserved musicians.
Hail from Germany!!!
damn!😱 all of these albums are epically banging!!!! I must have all these! thank you so much for delivering 5 Metal bands, and 5 Metal albums Ive honestly never heard of; damn, these sound soooooooooooooooooooo good!!!
This is awesome. Where the 🤟 do you find all those bands, LPs and video footage? Saints Anger, never heared of them ever before and I live ca. 25 km away from Speyer. And I am their age, too. Keep on going dude. For the Metal.
Violent Force – Malevolent Assault Of Tomorrow was one of them too! It’s Thrash
You had me at “Icon” with Forced Entry.
