  2. From my experience, each mechanic in the One More Gate demo feels pretty solid and well rounded. For example that "stampede" effect was on the Charge card in the shop, and it forces whoever is in the front row to the back. With how everything else is designed, that one move has so many possible applications and strategic uses. Of course there's the obvious of moving away bulky boys to reach the lower health support oriented enemies, but then there's the fact the changing an enemies position additionally alters the effectiveness of the move they're using. Or prevents you from wasting attacks when the front enemy is about to die from poison anyway. Or completely changes the dynamic of the group of enemies you're attacking because some enemies have unique attacks/tactics depending on their positioning (The gobbal is a brutal attacker in the front row and a brutal support in the back row that gets an extremely powerful boost attack that's only available while it's in the back).

I'm excited to see where it goes, but I truly hope there's some late game mechanic that allows the game to function as a more standard rougelite. I would hate to see all these detailed early game enemies eventually get trivialized by maxed out cards.
