  1. “John just being John is what needs to be” Occasional Outlaw, 2023. This is the quote of the year. You got it in ONE (see what I did there?) Couldn’t have done better myself 🤣 🤣

  2. John is really friendly and personable, and of course the ladies loved him ( how could you not?), he always took the time to connect with his fans as much as possible, but he married his lovely wife Jillian when he was 24 in 1973, 50 years on, they are still going strong. Great reaction as always, thank you.

  3. NO! John not now and has never been a ladies' man. He has been married to his wife Jillian for 50 years. He is a devoted husband. And right from the beginning people here knew that about John, he's a good guy and that's why so many people love him. And I think most would agree. ❤

  4. It astounds me how he can bend down to the audience to accept flowers and cards, how he can run and bounce on the stage, all while he is belting out his song and not missing note.

  5. Hi mate …..thanks for reaction. Could I slip in a couple of suggestions forJohns songs to have a look at 'Burn for you' and 'Touch of Paradise' are both beautiful songs. Also John and Jimmy Barnes duo…'When something is wrong with my baby'. Cheers!

  6. Yes, the LRB ended up resented his front man behaviour. I heard one of them say they felt like they were his "backing band". They did nasty tricks to stop him, like shortening his mic lead, or taping the mic and lead to the floor. And John found it restricting, just singing "other people's hits". In the recent documentary, it was told how while with LRB his income was docked to pay back the band's prior recording debts.

  7. Although we all loved him, John is a very devoted husband and father. He and Jill just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. His devotion to his family is one of the reasons we love him.
Anything from the concert with the orchestra is worth looking at. They all had such a good time.

  8. John has recently celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary. He and his wife Jill have been state & national champion quarter horse riders/cutting & I think breeders too. I bought my first "One" single in the early 70s and have an expansive collection of this great singer.

  10. How the heck does John keep on singing bending over all scrunched up getting flowers and shaking fans hands – without missing a note? Oh he could probably sing standing on his head and still sound brilliant lol 😊💞

  11. You’ve just got to watch him in Jesus Christ Superstar sing Gethsemene and, of course Help and The Voice, if you haven’t watched those. He is Australia’s National Living Treasure.

  12. You got it so right. John just being John is 100% what needs to be…
John is a one woman man and we all appreciate that love he has for his wife. Doesn't mean we all don't have a huge crush on him. And he openly admits to being a big flirt and loves a kiss or two from his fans. Buts that's as far as it goes.
I think you will also really enjoy watching his original performance of this same song from back in 1969. You can compare how much his stage presence grew and how much his voice has developed and strengthened over the years, to the point that he could belt those high notes in full chest voice compared to a thin falsetto when he was younger

  13. John was not a ladies man. Jilly was his one and only but he felt like a much loved brother. He was Australia’s family and he still is. His family were our family, his best friend and manager. The late Glenn Wheatley, his wife Gaynor and their children were and are our family. I hope you get to see the movie about John, you will learn so much more about who he is and how many battles he came through.
LRB after their lead singer left were fools. John has never seen anyone onstage as less than he is but they thought they were the stars letting John sing their songs. They wanted him to stand still and sing, he couldn’t stand still to save his life and you could tell he didn’t like it. I have not and will not listen to anything LRB since then other than one of them who writes songs. I won’t use his name, the others are nobody’s.
There is no one above John’s voice anywhere today. He is magic, kind and humble. It still surprises him when someone famous loves him. When your number one fans are Celine Dion and Richard Marx in their words. He is very special and if you listen to the right songs at the right concerts you should see that. Thank you.

  14. Absolutely, he's a ladies' man, BUT with respect. He loved all his fans. Reason he isn't more of an international star his family meant to much to him. He didn't want to be away from them for long periods of time. He's a good man, have never heard a bad word about him. THREE DOG NIGHT also covered this song.

  15. John is clearly one of the best singers I have ever heard. Unfortunately, it
took YOUTUBE to hear him and many other great Aussie artist. It is like
Australia was a different planet not just a continent. John is right up there with
the likes of Dimash. I never thought I would say that.

  16. Yes you are right they didn't want him to be the free spirit that he is and didn't like him being center of attention. As you see he loves to perform and has so much energy and loves to move about the stage. When he was in LRB they use to tape his mic lead to the floor so he couldn't move anywhere. John loves being himself on stage and his personality shines through and loves the connection with all his fans. John got married on 18th April 1973 and is still very happily married. Playing To Win, You're The Voice, its a long Way to the top ACDC number all from the same concert. When the war is over with Jimmy Barnes, Please dont ask me with the late Oliva Newton John at the main event concert. Gethesmane from Jesus Christ Superstar, Amazing Grace. John really can sing anything. Great reaction thank very much. 🇬🇧 So many beautiful songs from a phenomenal singer.

  18. Any song by John with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is gold. John was married to the love of his life and is totally devoted to her and his sons. They have been married for fifty years. He wrote the song Burn For You for his wife. You should check it out and you'll understand their relationship. His family was the reason he didn't want to tour overseas.

  19. John married Jill in 1973 and has been a one woman man. That is why he didn't want to go international. He wanted to be with his wife and the boys. 50 years of marriage. Role model. He adores his fans and always thought no one would turn up to see him. He has never understood how much we love him. It was very clear in the movie and broke my heart

  20. This is a Three Dog Night song.. and the only other performer I have heard that could have the power to do this song would be John Farnham. . I'm sure the name Three Dog Night wouldn't be lost on Farnsey. No, John was not a ladies man; he has been married to his wife, Jillian for half a century. I hope he will have a complete recovery from his cancer surgery. New subbie. 😎

  21. Sorry, John is NOT A Ladies Man and never has been. He adores his wife and kids, he’s a family man through and through. He treats everyone he meets with great respect no matter their role in life. We love his crazy sense of humour. He gives 110% to every performance in every concert, big or small, singing everything from Rock to Opera. That’s why he is THE VOICE.

  22. Always a joy to watch your reactions. So good to see you react to music that is probably not in your original Wheelhouse.
I see you haven't reacted to his version of the Beatles "Help" yet, from the same show. If you know the original, you will be blown away by John's arrangement of it.
And bear in mind, it is the second encore after a 2 hour show. His voice just doesn't give up.
