We’ve seen as Megumi Fushiguro continues to master his Ten Shadows Style technique and use it again and again in battles, but one ability that Megumi doesn’t use all that much is his ability to fuse together his Shikigami, something that could give him some really interesting combinations. We’ve seen already that Megumi was able to fuse together his Toads and Nue to give the toads wing and This ability is called the Well’s Unknown Abyss, and pushing it even further Megumi could also do something like fusing his Dogs together with the frog to give him Dogs that have long lashing tongues that would maybe be able to hold opponents down or pull them in for bites. Another idea for a Shikigami Combination would be Nue and Serpent because maybe by creating a flying serpent Megumi could create something closer to a traditional Dragon, however Megumi isn’t just limited to fusing together TWO Shikigami, since we know in the manga his body is capable of combining three different Shikigami into one form called Chimera Beast Agito. Now the fact that Chimera Beast is the title and Agito is its name, implies to me that there are other Chimera Beasts combinations in the technique that may each have their own names, but now this all really has me wondering what would happen if Megumi just fused together ALL of his Shikigami into one, of if that’s something that isn’t possible until you have ALL of the Ten Shadows.

Okay, here's is the thing. Maybe 10nth shadow will be all 9 shadows fused together, aka ultimate 10tnh shadow.
Just pointing it out but Agito is made up of 4 shikigamis and Megumi don't have the Cursed energy reserves nor a curse energy output high enough to pull that out. In the goodwill event arc Megumi explained that Max elephant was so cursed e'ergy consuming that he could only summon him alone without anumy other shikigamis. Basically if megumi's output is 10 units per second , max elephant takes 9 units per second there fore Megumi cant summon any other shikigami.
Shikigamis summoned through the ritual for taming aren't relying on the user's CE to function as shown since Mahoraga was able to fight after having sent megumi in suspended animation (almost dead).
Bact to Agito, its made up of : Nue, Orochi, Mourning Tiger, Tranquil deer.
The remaining shikigamis are : The bull, Rabbit escape, Divine dogs, Frogs , Mahoraga, max elephant.
Using a Chimera beast probably requires greater output than simply using the shikigami that its made off separately.
So having agito out consumes more output than having Nue, Orochi, Mourning Tiger and tranquil deer at the same time.
Megumi was limited by his output and his creativity.
As a testament to Sukuna's high output, despite being damage both physical and in his brain he has enough output to have both Agito out and Mahoraga as well as using max elephant's powers. Most impressive is agito was using RCT which is heavy in CE consumption while Mahoraga was constantly adapting which must also pump CE like crazy. Not forgetting Max elephant
What about the shikigami? Does it hurt them or anything? If one dies there gone does fusion kill one to amplify the other and how would megumi feel about that

I would love to see more fusions but maybe some reasons Megumi doesn't rely on the fusions is probably uses more Curse Energy to use them, More Curse Energy control and More Focus like needs a strong enough image to create them or they probably unstable and fall apart.

If he at least explored his shikigamis a bit more he could've at least give toji a fight because the things he could do to all of those are insane if he explored it a bit more.
Who knows? Maybe he could actually fuse all of his shikigamis and turn them into something that is at least close to mahoraga or maybe even stronger than mahoraga, the potential is insanely good but was wasted.

There's a reason why megumi doesn't do it to often. For one the shikigami he uses aren't the actual ones he summons but weaken clones of the original. 2 the totality (like divine dog and Agito) version of the fusions are permanent because using totality happens when they are destroyed or intentionally fuses them which is like killing them cause it can never be undone and is a painful process for them.
Imagine someone else uses your ability better than you do
Or the tenth shadow is the combination of the 9 he has because of how difficult it is to obtain mahoraga. Being able to defeat him would mean he has become so strong his body would be able to withstand a fusion of all 9.
