Meghan Markle – King Charles letters: Just what was in them? | Palace Confidential

Just what was in the letters between Meghan Markle and King Charles? | Palace Confidential. One bit of negative publicity might look unfortunate, two starts to look careless. While the Buckingham Palace press office wants to focus on the upcoming Coronation, in the past week they’ve been forced to deal with a pair of troubling stories involving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
A statement written by Prince Harry written for a court case has claimed there was a secret deal between his brother Prince William and a newspaper group over phone hacking, and that his father’s office didn’t want to rock the boat with the press to ensure he and Camilla enjoyed a smooth ride to the Coronation. Then there was the revelation that Meghan had written to the now King over the ‘unconscious bias’ racism row in 2021, but had not been satisfied by the response she received.
The Sussex camp have denied leaking the row, but The Mail on Sunday’s assistant editor Kate Mansey believes it is ‘strange’ that the letter row has emerged ‘so close’ to the coronation.
She also believes that a lot of stress could have been avoided over Harry’s court documents, had the Sussex and Wales teams been in contact.

  1. Re this Coronation on Saturday, so soon, my biggest hope is that the ex president of the USA does not turn up and expect to be admitted. His trip to Scotland and Ireland is ideally timed, perfect for him to do the Wicked Fairy at the Christening of Sleeping Beauty trick. We all know how much he enjoyed all the pomp and splendour of British Royalty at his formal reception at The Palace. To me it is inconceivable that he would be in Britain and not turn up and just hope to be let in. His timing is not accidental, though it could be a way to escape his rape trial in New York….PLEASE DO NOT ADMIT THIS AOPPALLING HUMAN BEING to this sacred ceremony. That is not the sort of publicity the Crown needs!!

  2. Authentic?!!? Open your eyes! Are you on her payroll? Authentic people do not have to constantly remake themselves, spin news rewrite the " narrative" every wk, month and quarter.

  3. Yuk you would think that if anything she would have a nose job!! It really stands out! She looked better before she rearranged her face and that’s still not saying much! She’s still ordinary like most of us!! She’s starting to look more and more like the witch she is and of course no one will tell her the truth for fear of banishment!! I’ve seen better looking witches then her and she’s not even runner up!!

  4. What is WRONG with the media? Why do they sensationalise everything? William settled out court…it happens EVERY DAY but instead they run with Harry’s “secret deal”! MM refuses to kiss H & THATS the main focus…not the Anzac dawn service. Markle runs rings round you lot…you fall for it EVERY time! Can we just have a break from their crap & enjoy The Coronation.

  5. Now I am not condoning wars or violence of any kind, because I have seen enough to last me a lifetime. But I don't think Britain has the moral high ground to judge China about HK, if you remember or were told the truth of how Hong Kong was won by Britain back in the 1800s. 1800s China was under the Qing Dynasty, who looked up to the West and welcomed Westerners, including Britain into China. But unbeknown to the naïve Qing, their heroes and supposed well manner guests were underhandedly disabling its army and its citizens by feeding its people opium. The result was devastating, the entire country was paralyzed because all people care was to get their fix, and after their fix, they were lying there in a trance, helpless, waiting for the next fix! When the Qing government realised what was going on it was too late, the damage was already done! What to do, well stop the source of this evil by burning down Britain's ships loaded with opium! Britain then demanded to be paid for, but the Qing had no means to pay for it, and Hong Kong was collateral! During the duration of Britain colonising Hong Kong, China didn't interfere with how HK was run because it was a respectful and decent thing to uphold. Although, what Britain did was dirty and underhanded, but China accepted the defeat and left Britain to run HK as Britain saw fit! But why can Britain be a fair game player and behave honourably toward HK after 1997? Don't use the excuse that because Britain still cares about HK even though HK now belongs to China now! No coloniser really cares about the people that they colonise. The only thing a coloniser cares about is what can they get out of the place they colonised! I have been to HK every year before and after 1997. The first time I went to HK I had a shock at how under developed HK was. The image of these sky scrapers and abundant wealth was literally just in that small areas which only enjoyed by the few privileged that were Brits and those worked directly under the British. If you moved a bit further out from these playground for the super wealthy that were Brits you would think you have entered a third world country! Everything was so under developed, people still live in shacks. The living standard of HK people was nowhere in line with those in Britain. Most families lived in tiny, run down flats that were divided into tiny quarters! The New Territory were even worse, no inside tap water, toilet still outside, yet Britain took a lot out of HK because as the financial hub in the East, HK made a lot of money, but ordinary HK people didn't get to see any as it was all shipped to the master that was Britain! After 1997, HK as a whole developed rapidly, especially, villages in the New Territory and ordinary HK people now had the chance to better themselves and share the good fortune that was once belong only to the few privileged! With all honesty, the riot in HK couldn't happen with some very powerful help??! It really opened my eyes how politics work, especially in the West. The repeated lies, the gaslighting …it worked, because most people dont really look beyond the headlines and don't remember past events or remembering selectively! The West really has no moral high ground on criticising anyone about wars or violence!

  6. As an American (a Californian), I just don't understand the British people or their press. At every turn, Harry and Meghan are chastised for defending themselves and making an honest living while the seated royals get away nearly with murder. First, Charles has an ongoing adultress relationship (for decades), divorces the mother of his children for this woman, and maligns Princess Diana to save his own face. And you all turn a blind eye. It's now known that the royals consistently leak/feed "secrets" to the press (or what we say in the States, throw someone under the bus), to protect their own reputation and that's just okay with the Brits. The monarchy is an archaic system that needs to go the way of the dodo. I TOTALLY respect Harry and Meghan. The seated royal family is nothing to be proud of. If fact they should be ashamed of the money they cost the British taxpayers when they are so filthy rich.
