Immingham workers race against time to unload thousands of tonnes of fertiliser, with weather threatening to destroy the load. In Spain, it’s anything but plain sailing for the team behind the scenes of a round the world yacht race…and in Essex, it’s a tight squeeze to transport millions of pounds worth of classic cars.

Two colossal shipments arrive in Rotterdam and the team use hundreds of wheels and expert ingenuity to bring these beasts to shore in Europe’s busiest port. In Ipswich the pressure’s on to load fifty trucks destined for a new life on sunny shores; and on England’s south coast two 40 tonne tanks are charging towards their new home.

Naval Architect Mark has to deliver a £3 billion aircraft carrier, but first he has to get her out of dry dock. There’s no margin for error as heavy haulage experts attempt to manoeuvre 300 tonnes of steel cable on Britain’s winding roads. Meanwhile yacht builders in Oundle need all hands-on deck to help protect a multi-million pound yacht on route to America.

Harbourmaster Steven has the future of a small town in Scotland in his hands as he prepares to export three off-shore wind turbine towers. On the Humber estuary heavy hauliers winch 130 tonnes of locomotive onto a narrow trailer. While in Sussex a mammoth 2,700 tonnes of rock-wool needs offloading against the clock, ready to find a new home.

In Redcar, crane driver Simon has three days to unload 75-thousand tonnes of coal in 40 mph winds. In Southampton, load master Shane battles choppy waters as he lifts a £15 million superyacht on to a transport ship. Finally, at Shoreham Port divers brave sub-zero water temperatures to urgently find the cause of a hole in the lock gate.

In Southampton two hundred and eighty brand new minis are stuck dockside after the worst snowfall in ten years. In Immingham, on the north east coast, high winds leave crane driver Mark struggling to unload 40 tonnes of frozen fish. While in Shoreham the team unload thousands of tonnes of steel girders for the construction industry in sub-zero temperatures

On England’s south coast thousands of tonnes of wood chip Biomass create a cloud of hazardous dust which Shoreham Port supervisor Robin must bring under control. In Kings Lynn, Norfolk, heavy hauliers try to unload a brand new £40 million generator, but this load isn’t playing ball. While in the Orkney isles in northern Scotland, almost seven hundred rare breed cattle have just ten hours to cross to the mainland in choppy waters.

In Glasgow, a £127 million naval ship takes its maiden voyage but, as the wind picks up, it’s not all plain sailing. In Southampton, the Huelin Dispatch is loaded with urgent supplies for the Channel Islands but a broken fuel pump means the cargo ship is stuck dockside. While in Leicestershire £500,000-worth of locomotive needs to be driven by truck to Somerset, but a shattered steering arm threatens the whole operation.
