To this day, I still don’t think the Volturi are inherently evil. They are enforcing the rules to protect and preserve their kind and they’ve been doing that for centuries. Bella just seems like an exception because she’s the protagonist. Seriously, a human being knows of their existence? These vampire leaders are right to lose their shit. I honestly think they went too soft for a punishment here for the Cullens.

I really do like these movies. I still think it was a great take on the vampire story and those old, tired typical vampire troupes. We own all of them on DVD and on occasion will have a family Twilight marathon.
