At 36:14 when the trader says Modoc, I may know the reference! Modoc was considered, at the time, America's most Famous elephant. In 1942, in my hometown of Wabash, Indiana, Modoc escaped her circus tour and rampaged through the town, then trampling through one of the buildings here. She ran further for several days, and a statewide hunt drawing national attention ensued. In 2004, a coffee shop opened in the location Modoc bulldozed through, and it was named in her honor. Modoc's story has drawn people the world over to home! 🎉❤❤

On Steam I lowered my native resolution when I played , and it seemed to give me a smoother more true to form playthrough. I only thought to mention this because you said the high res versions are giving you trouble. I've never had to rename files though to get audio to work thats bizarre and likely a GOG thing.
