Medical examiner identifies 2-year-old boy shot, killed in Federal Way

The 2-year-old child who was shot and killed in Federal Way last week has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

SynSyr Lewis was shot in the head on April 4 in the parking lot of an IHOP location off Southwest Campus Drive.

Police said “preliminary investigations” suggest the child’s father and another person were shooting at each other in the parking lot and that this was not a random occurrence.

As of Friday, April 5, investigators believe a suspect, who has not been identified, fired at the 2-year-old’s father, who returned fire in self-defense. The father is believed to have been targeted.

“We’re going to move heaven and earth to find who pulled that trigger, we’ll find them,” said Federal Way Mayor Jim Ferrell.

  1. Those are targeted hits, so these types of deletion won't happen back to back, their are probably gonna lay low for a couple months if their smart. then leave the state to a out of town reletives house or something. yall hiring 6 officers that just wasting the budget. More officer usually never really means its safer just make the current ones do better cop work, and then you might see some results.

throwing paper money at a fire never puts it out

  2. More gunfire? Seattle needs to go back a long time ago. The Leftis Lunatics situation in Seattle is disgusting and who knows what really goes on there as far as what they really doing as opposed to what they’re saying to the people. We need different laws and we need to support our police Fire and paramedics, etc.. If you want change, you have to vote different. In this situation, I’m not sure if that would help but I’m just saying this is sad and absolutely disgusting for people to have to constantly witness several situations a day in Seattle area. Wake up and vote differently because the way you been voting is not working.
