We’re no strangers to driving death traps, so we asked real mechanics to tell us how unsafe these janky cars really are.

Huge thanks to our experts!

  1. interesting how it seems theirs enough pressure in the break lines to shear brass like that, i mean i knew the pressure varied but yeah i guess i never thought about a brake slamming stop, definetly a reason why the breaklines are made like they are, a lotta complicated science n' engineering in there im sure, but still never thought it was enough to sheer the whole brass connector thats an impressive amount of pressure from a thin break line but i suppose it does make sense it would just one of those things wierd things about liquid physics again i suppose

  2. that generation of silverado gets really bad rust basically right where the truck is bending (ive had a few) so its even funnier to see that process sped up by an accident

  3. 12:15 i had one of those come in with a shattered t case. Had the same problem.. it also took out the diff too because when he drove it it not only rocked up and down but it cocked to the side and crabwalked! He drove it that way for 5 months
