In this episode of Space Engineers, Hostile Survival we do our best to get some essentials built for our Mars base. Of course, I get distracted, and once again try to take down a ship for some potential loot (watch the video to see how that goes). After I get back from my little escapade things go okay with the base building party until the Reaver shows up! Will we ever make progress on Mars? Let’s find out!

  1. Love the giant MarsRover dude! Excited to see how the mining rigs turn out, as I'm thinking of building a big mining rover myself.
    Was thinking of a big foldable crane in the middle, with pistons on the corners of the rover to go down and lock for stability. Stoked to see what you come up with tho!

  3. I made a turret controlled drill arm with an event controller set that if the drill is on, it extends the piston, and it actually works pretty slick! So when you click, the turret controller still makes the drill work but for some reason no right clicking, but my piston slowly extends as long as you hold the mouse button down. No fancy cumbersome controls needed! Just one turret controller on the hot bar! Also remember that if you use more pistons, just tab over in your event controller by holding CTRL and a number 1-9 so you can set them all to extend and retract, or just make a piston group. 🙂 The velocity needs to be extremely low with multiple pistons, and done forget to share inertial tensor with everything EXCEPT the main advanced rotor connecting the arm to the truck. That way it works smoothly, and no Klang wobbles lol.
