You were attacked by police and that is the BIG ISSUE.
I know a couple of officers on the Freeport Police Department. They are actually my friends and when we all go for drinks and I listen to there stories it scares me. I like these guys but they commit felonies against civilians and enjoy doing it. Since HS these guys never grew up and they were the bullies back then and now they have a badge and a gun and are 100 times worse. I try not to hangout with them anymore because they sense my disgust towards them.
The mayor makes like Freeport is such a glamorous town. It’s actually a craphole minus going to the marina area. Try driving there at night and see how safe you feel.

Why is it that these people have no issue with continually violating your Constitutional rights, and they feel entitled to man handle you and just expect you to let them when you, by law don't have to?
Why aren't their superiors not clarifying that to them so they'll know?
Why aren't their Superiors telling them that what you're doing, you have the legal Constitutional rights to do it and that they're actually breaking the law by prohibiting you from exercise yours?
Why don't they clarify to their employees that just bcuz they feel uncomfortable about your camera, you legally have the right to film whatever and whoever you want within the guidelines of your right to legally do it? They be unnecessarily hostile because they don't know the law and keeps violating your person, rights and equipment bcuz they think that they are right when their not!
I'm sure you're targeted by them. Bcuz they get mad as hell and get ready to attack and you don't even be done done anything and no matter how they unlawfully and maliciously handle you, WITHOUT cause, you're ALWAYS cordial.
I'll bet if you asked any of them, (besides the corrupt ones who think that they're entitled when they're actually not), ask any of them, whether or not you're recording them, ask them what law have you broken, what VIOLATION have you done against them personally, bet they couldn't come up with but one truth really, and that would be bcuz they've been triggered to do it by the hype and actions of the corrupt ones, another truth would be, bcuz they told us to.
If you asked them, if law enforcement or anybody else walked up to you and started manhandling you without cause pushing and shoving you out of your place of work bcuz somebody done put up some illegal mess that you legally don't even have to abide by and you knew that, and could legally prove that, just because they felt like it, would you comply with it without taking proper procedure against them? Why? Why won't you just do what the hell they tell you to intimidate you to keep you In check when the law says that you don't have to?
I tell you, I'm so disgusted to know that many members of law enforcement DON'T EVEN KNOW THE LAW.🤭🤨😲🤔😱

Everytime you asked him how would they be disciplined, he diverted to flexing his stats and accomplishments and NEVER gave you a direct answer! They built a multi billion dollar jail in a town of 6,600 just to throw as many people (innocent or guilty) in jail to collect money we need someone like you to shine a spot light on it all!!!

Very, very reassuring that a man of apparent status, character and integrity has entertained you personally, and listened carefully to the issues you’ve raised. Those issues were clearly of extreme importance to both the village citizens and his governing bodies. The mayor’s careful explanation about the unique financial structure of the Village townhouse was extremely edifying, and highly informative in perhaps rationalizing some of the hypersensitivity his public employees expressed during your audits. However he also seemed to readily acknowledge the issues of public employee professionalism that you very correctly raised, suggesting he would try to better address them internally. As you highlighted, the Mayor is a skilled and affable politician who is quite adept at conveying one-on-one trust…..so only time will tell for certain. However overall it seem very likely that the impact of your 1st Amendment audits was overwhelmingly beneficial to both the Village’s citizens and it governing bodies. They should all be grateful for your selfless input….and you should be proud of those your accomplishments.KH

I so admire what you do, and how important it is for everyone who loves and wishes to retain their precious freedoms. So while it was great that he took time to speak with you in person, I found you to be the far bigger gentleman, with serious concerns, and of course, Mr. Mayor was more concerned with making himself look better, and rattling off statistics and $$$$$amounts "since he took office ".

What a political windbag! On and on and on about anything other than the topic in hand. It was a masterclass in what politicians do. He's an affable guy, knows all the moves and didn;t make you feel like saying, "Mr Mayor, I'm not interested in the party political broadcast/tourism campaign for your villiage, please, talk about these officers' actions and what you're going to do about it." Any time he mentions the incident he's making excuses or explanations for their behaviour.
Sounds like mayor was making more excuses than solutions! True politicians way of sweeping it under the rug.
