Max Romeo – At Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival, 2015

Max Romeo, one of the most prominent symbols of roots reggae from Jamaica, lit the Tower of David in a reggae night that has already become a tradition at the festival.

Romeo, who signed the hits War In A Babylon and Chase the Devil and who appears as a symphony on “Out of Space” by the band Prodigy, holds the dubious title of the most censored musician in Jamaican history due to his socialist songs and harsh anti-establishment lyrics. In the performance, Romeo, backed by an excellent band, proved that, despite his age, he is still one of the most convincing and energetic performers who took part in the festival.
