  2. 8 character analysis Iida match

    Class A-
Iida- So now he is faster than current Gran Torino. Gran Torino is faster than the eye can register. So my guess is Iida can now likely break the freaking sound barrier. But I doubt it is constant from what Vlad King said. What likely happens is he triggers the turbo, builds up to his top speed, than steadily goes down as it goes on. So my guess is right around the 5 minute marker is where Iida was in the beginning of the episode, he is at his fastest. There truly is no downside to the turbo style. Iida's weakness isn't from his power, but rather his own inflexibility and complete refusal to relax. He is trying too hard to be like Ingenium, and his stiff movements are hindering his turns. He needs to finally get his nerve surgery to heal his Stain injuries, and has to be the best HE can be. Not the best his brother WAS. But if he does that, and pulls out his mufflers even 1 or 2 more times, he will be on par with PRIME Gran Torino, who need I remind you, was responsible for All-Might's muscle form and was one of the single strongest quirks that could keep pace with even OFA. He and Todoroki are the 2 strongest people of both classes in eyes of the 40 students. Bakugo and Deku are more balanced, but are overlooked as a result.

Todoroki- We know Todoroki is the most powerful student of the 40. His power has much less recoil than anyone else when he really pushes himself. But now we see the 4th class he's never used. We have seen spread ice and fire, and precision ice. But never precision fire. He literally conjured all the flames he spread everywhere into one condensed blast, and it sounded like a jet engine when he went for the punch. That isn't prominence burn, that's Endeavor's flashfire fist. So that was a NARROW death evasion considering the steel quirk had turned off. He MIGHT have been able to switch fast, but the damage to his body would likely be the same as what he did to Tetsu. What I think Todoroki should try, is try heating his ice side, and freezing his fire side. He would never be able to one hand both at once since they act so differently and the damage would likely hurt like hell instead of getting a water quirk, but being able to use 1 with both hands would remove a weakness and increase his mobility which he is lacking in. To skate with both feet would REALLY help him, or propel fire from both feet. Guy might get to proper flight at that rate like Bakugo. He wouldn't be able to use both at once on one side, but to switch which hand is doing what, from one side to the other would make him a PROBLEM. And we know he can use both sides at once, and switching sides wouldn't cause too much damage.

Ojiro- This is much shorter. That tail is RIDICULOUS. The guy is mainly the smart fighting type, and looks like he going for being a martial arts type of hero. But he CLEARLY has been watching Midoriya to move his tail so fast it creates an air shockwave, in WET CEMENT. Do NOT sleep on this guy yet. He could freaking be able to bust through buildings one day with that under his belt. He just needs to build up his other limbs too so he isn't so reliant.

Shoji- Speaking of limbs, Shoji has ultimate versatility with his dupli-arms. But he REALLY needs to move faster. Maybe if he builds his legs up he could duplicate from there too. But if not, what he should learn how to do is conjure feet from the arms. He could run like a horse and seriously boost his jumping ability too. That could have saved this match for Class A. He is probably the strongest side character of Class A. I would put him at…7 or 8. He really has maxed out his quirk more than most in the class at this point. Just needs better reach and mobility to get better now.

    Class B-
Mudman- He is in my opinion the strongest person in Class B. This guy took a supersonic kick to the HEAD from Iida and that shattered half his helmet! And was also in the huge fire zone around Todoroki. All after swimming across the field. Speed is NOT a problem for this guy since his choice of movement can't be hindered by anyone that doesn't have his same quirk. Jiro's sound shockwaves bust ground, but I feel like it would be MORE muffled in soft ground. And same goes for earth quirks. I can't imagine it bothering him too much since all he has to control is his area, and they have to dig down to him. He just needs stamina. He's built enough to take that beating, and he used his quirk EVERYWHERE throughout. And he can effect whole buildings too! Might need a bit more strength so he can push it himself next time. But holy hell this guy has next to no weakness.

Tetsutetsu: His temperature control is HUGE. He and Kirishima no longer have the same quirk. Neither could fully replicate what the other has. Tetsu could build his weight limit strain to get something like Red Riot Unbreakable, but steel isn't has good for that as Kirishima's hardening. And Kirishima could do temperature control, but he isn't as good for that as Tetsu. They just need to keep pushing what they are good at. Just be better at sprinting I guess.

Spiral: So aside from being the Tasmanian Devil, he played dirty as hell. His drill causes body vibrations to throw his opponent off kilter. He could've SERIOUSLY damaged Ojiro's spine at the end. So I say he got what he deserved. I want to see what the Tasmanian Devil move actually did though. Most likely it’s for mobility like drilling through the ground or taking out groups…like the Tasmanian Devil.

Poni: She needs to be able to control more ammo. She can only control 4, but can shoot unlimited. If she had 8, Class B would've won. But her usage is pretty much perfect. I’d aim for an even dozen if I were her.

  3. Iida took the lesson of Hero Killer Stain too literally. He should've made absolutely sure that Honenuki and Tetsutetsu were down before trying to save Todoroki. Turning his back on a real villain who's not fully defeated could get himself killed along with the person he was trying to save.

  4. I love Spiral’s VA. So glad that they put Matt Shipman in this show. Between this role, Hajime Nagumo (Arifureta:From Commonplace to World’s Strongest)(Deku is also in this too) Floch(Attack on Titan).

  5. Pony and Iida are basically taking this fight into practicals.

Pony decided she had to save her friends and wait for the fight to end if she can't bring her captured enemy into jail. In real life, that's a wise decision. If you can't win by yourself but you can at least help your friends into safety, then wait until the backup comes. That's what she basically did.

That's also what Iida did. He doesn't look for a fight. He looked out for his friends and help as much as he could. If he couldn't catch honenuki, then go to another.
