This is exciting! Hopefully development goes smoothly and we get another captivating scifi game
I have some theories/ideas for what this game could be like. I would like to see them explore a different scenario where humanity is not the newcomers and is in fact one of the oldest, and largest empires in the galaxy. I think that may be the case judging by the first piece of concept art. I also think there should be space flight mechanics as well. Imagine being able to build or buy your own ships and also do missions on planets and stations, which would act as hubs.

So, this is totally different than the Archetype Entertainment project… interesting that former ME talent is breaking off on their own, and creating things that could be considered as “inspired” by the ME universe.

I'm on board for anything Casey Hudson creates. The man was the creator and major driving force behind my favorite gaming franchise of all time. If he can create another amazing sci-fi universe with incredible characters and deep lore I'm all in.
To set it apart from me it looks like there will be humans only in the next near future before they first encounters other species thus most of the tech will look more like conventional weapons and mass driver based but won’t play as a arcade style action more exploration and discovery of a huge organics life form corpses using mysteries more like a palaeontologist that shed light on there ancient life that have future ramifications – those hoping for a me2-3 story will be disappointed as it’s more like andromeda and me1 open world on another level. It’s a different type of game almost like dead space mix without the alien lifeforms than me . No man sky and elite undertones with elements of eve for travel and colony buildings- alas it won’t be like me2-3 as it will have license issues if it was similar ea would live to bring a lawsuit if it was
I'm cautiously optimistic, been burnt a few times lately with games but then Elden ring exceeded my hype which made me hopeful again.

So we have Mass Effect 4, this game from Humanoid Studios, and the sci fi game from Archetype Entertainment which also has former Bioware staff like Drew Karpyshyn. Hopefully at least one of these will be good.

You are right it does look like a mass Effect like game it's possible it some how does connect to the mass Effect universe like its a spinoff franchise or its attached to Mass Effect andromeda personaly I hope it's the second 1 because Andromeda didn't get it's 3 game trilogy like the original series did which I was hoping it happened because I loved Andromeda it was the Star trek entry in the franchise it had endless possibilities the characters were amazing the story was great the ship was pretty cool I have to say this new game does have that same magic going for it so it to has endless possibilities I can't wait to see the ship and crew and learn what kind of adventure we will be going on this is exciting
