  1. re: the persecution by Parliament. It wasn't the gay thing from what I've read, it was the actual corruption – just how much George had skimmed and given to his family, plus snobbery. George ascended faster from lower beginnings than practically anyone at court had ever done, and trampled on so many people whilst having actual political power, unlike Anne Boleyn and Elizabeth Woodville who had 'soft' power as queens. Charles – I'm of the opinion that it wasn't homophobia, it was snobbery again.
Pouting so much that they killed Miss Brooks. And Katie ftw. 'Hubby's just gone to the shops for a cornetto. want a present?'

  2. Great reaction!!! As you had said β€œMother knows best”, unfortunately Mary didn’t know George best which breaks my heart for Bridgett’s death. She always reminds me of Nancy from Oliver. Have your tissues and fan ready for the finale!

  3. I love this episode, it broke my heart entirely πŸ’”
and I especially loved all your comments in this one, even though it didn't have much "reaction" worthy scenes, the topics were really interesting and I enjoy how you two always dive into them.

  4. I do feel that the corruption hunt was both a bit of homophobia and a bit of actually wanting to sort out corruption (albeit due to Coke's and the other's own biases since they all be corrupt). After all, the ppl being hunted were all guilty of the crimes they were accused of

  5. George has started taking power both politically and financially but tbf he's kind of had to. James' mental health isn't the best and he's been leaving the work of ruling up to George.

There's such a comparison to be made between George's relationship with his older brother John and his relationship with James. He loves and protects both of them even with their mental problems and occasional tendancies towards violence.

  6. If we're talking merch, I want the fan in the background lol… I've been subscribed for a little while and know y'all talk about bringing in a fan pretty often, but I don't remember that specific "We do gay shit" fan until catching up on your videos from the past month or so haha

  7. There's people who were deepley involved in a loss, people who cry, people who laught… and then there's James, who do everything to not think about that, in deeply denial.
James and Anne were… a couple of friends, a couple of allies, a couple of parents but never a romantic couple, he respected and cherished her but he never really love her, she was "my sweet Annie", "my deary lassie" but that's all. They were married for 29 years, it's a lot of time
Edward Coke died in 1634, he outlive everyone in the series except Charles and John, the serie cannot changed that.
Yes, George left a pregnant Kate but… she was protected by her pregnancies so… she was safe.
IRL Francis Bacon was blackmailed by Edward Coke, George and James himself: plaid guilty or we'll charge you for sodomy, and we have proofs; you will not remember as Bacon the philosopher, Bacon the writer or even Bacon the Attorney General but only as Bacon the F****t… and he had no alternatives, it's very cruel but there were cruel times. Btw it was not pox but congenital syphilis, via his father, Francis Bacon spent all his life afraid to become mad, for this reason he was very corrupted, he needed money for cures, book and boys
