What a dumb movie. It started out totally illogical and went down hill from there! lol
Small metal orbs attack, but no lasers issue forth. Huh? What was the point? Just to see her slice them down with her Samurai sword! CGI flames aren’t bad, but obviously CGI. When you finally see an alien, it's hidden in the shadows. Must’ve been a really bad animatronic or puppet! Storyline? Script? Feel sorry for those who invested money in this film. Good practice for the actors. I hope they get something better next time.

No one who had anything to do with this movie was ever IN the military, or ever bothered to seek help from a military Technical Advisor – and didn't do any homework, either.
These people look like a bumbling batch of dunderheads. The Sergeant (or whatever the 'old man' is), said, "Find me a Radio Ham."
And oh, my God, I just saw the first "deadly Martian": molded plastic and aluminum foil. I can't. I just can't – and neither should you. Trust me – I watched for 30 minutes so you wouldn't have to. It just gets worse and worse.
