  2. Eventually, you will unlock the crafting recipe for the item to power those fusion reactors that you can find in some of the wrecks. Powering those will open some of the closed doors in the wrecks, oftentimes giving you some really good resources. In that same vein, something to know about the blue crates is that the items generated when you open the blue crates is determined by your game progress. As you get later in the game, the crates start to have better items in them. Although there are some crates that have a set inventory, most generate their loot when you open them.

Edit: The Ctrl-key is your friend. If you hold Ctrl when you click on an item in an inventory, it will transfer all of that item. A new addition, is that if you hold Ctrl before you scroll to rotate a building piece, it will snap rotate. You can also hold Ctrl when crafting to keep the crafting window open for multi-crafting or when you are building base stuff to build multiple without reopening the build window.

Another tip: when you are exploring a wreck, you can always build a blueprint screen in your oxygen shelter to use the blueprint chips rather than hauling them back home. That saves you some space for useful resources on the trek back. I also like to loot the entire ship into chests in my oxygen shelter. It makes it easier to make trips back and forth with resources.

Without spoiling the map, there are multiple caves throughout the map where you can find uranium, iridium, osmium, and more. Some are unlocked as the ice starts melting, others are open from the start of the game. You just have to explore. And if your path seems blocked by the ice, know that there is likely a way to get around the ice to the areas beyond it. Most of the ice blocks caves and tunnels that provide resources and shortcuts once the ice melts.

  3. Why would you float around in the ring? Thatโ€™sโ€ฆ not how those work. The rings generate centripetal acceleration force by spinning, so it feels like thereโ€™s gravity when you walk along the outside of the ring. Thereโ€™s not exotic materials changing gravity or something.
