4:40 "Do we know they're warships?"
Well, I mean, let's just be clear about this. If your intentions are peaceful, you don't come in force. You come in numbers large enough, and you come close enough to be detected, you indicate that you are intelligent, and you wait.
12:26 "I think '90's Jack Black was the best Jack Black."
😯 Oh my gosh! I didn't recognize him at all. He looks totally different with a buzz cut.
15:22 😄 I think the sight of the two of you talking to your kid may be better than the movie. It's certainly cuter.
18:20 ☺ Wow. The '90's version of a cellphone.
27:58 "Rest assured that… working together, we will soon come out… at a very real outcome. Thank you."
"Nailed it."
"Body language was not reassuring at all."
Well, yeah. But also, his statement was an exercise in political vagary. It was like saying, "If we keep moving forward, we will eventually get to the place directly in front of us." A very real outcome? What the hell does that mean?
39:58 "Still- Still tryin' to do that, hmm?"
It doesn't seem like a good card to play, but it's the only card he has left.
The movie came out during the Clinton Administration, and though Jack Nicholson and Glenn Close seemed more Ronald-and-Nancy Reagan than Bill-and-Hillary, the teen daughter played by Natalie Portman was definitely supposed to be the equivalent of Chelsea Clinton (with a dash of Winona Ryder in Beetlejuice), and Paul Winfield was clearly modeled on Colin Powell (who served under Reagan, both Bushes, and Bill Clinton).
It's alot like Earth vs The Flying Saucers, but funnier.
Big Fish. His best movie. IMO.
Wait, she melted all the ice creams?
Mrs movies if you want a great Tim burton movie that isn’t very burton-y go watch Big Eyes. Great movie
Nightmare Before Christmas def my favorite Tim Burton film. It was specifically the vibrato of his voice that killed them 😂😂😂😂
I hate this movie with a passion. It takes real talent to make something this bad.
Enemy of the state
Fun fact. The translation in the beginning was misinterpreted due to the use of jargon, double meanings, and other issues involved in language translation. The actual messege was:
Martians, 800,000 years ago. We created the human hybrids. We fight for the right to control the cosmos. The power of the Martians, fighting under the dark swayed flag, will mow your people down like a harvest of wheat.
A very enterprising girl you have. The music was Slim Whitman. He yodels and whistles. It used to make my friends heads explode also.
ACK ACK
The Mrs may like Big Fish
Ack ACkaCK ACKack ack ackACK!
The dad from haunting of Hill House was Elliot in ET !! I remember that guy Lucas Haas from a movie with Winona Ryder Boys or men… something like that, my mom used to watch it all the time but he was also on Alpha dog an inception
This movie is like the flip side to Independence Day. I love it
some people watch Shawshank anytime it comes on the tube. for me, i see Mars Attacks on and i stop everything. this movie makes no f'in sense lol and i love it, so camp and ludicrous with fantastic lines. i still say the aliens are ascendants of Beavis. shot out to Annette Bening in this one.
You need to eat Cheeto puffs while watching a movie & some organized candy.
Lastly; your little one is always that’s Star when she shows up.
Even her epic return telling y’all she wants to watch cartoons. She is not that “word” you called her.
Definitely in my top 25 😎….AWESOME reactions as always……Ps ❤ the Special Appearance
