As soon as he realized his leg was jacked he should've tried to take that fight to the ground. His ONLY chance to recover and win.
When I watched the fight live I thought it was a bad stoppage! Watching it now O'Malley was out for like a second cause his body just completely freezes but then he pops back. It was a good stop and even if he didn't get stopped i don't see how the ref would allow the 2nd round to start.
Sean will get his chance for revenge soon, we'll see if he can.

Vera partly hurted bummaley's leg because he was so anxious aand scared, no one is talking about that, he probably injured himself stepping on the wrong foot too.
His ground defense is pathetic, anyone who has trained bjj knows that you dont really need your ankle to survive the round in the ground.

Previously, I only saw a short vid of the KO. I didn't know O'Malley's leg was effed up. Either it got that way from kicking or being kicked. Some are saying it was from being kicked. If so, Vera totally won the fight, it was no fluke.

The only question the peg brings up is this, had the peg not been compromised, would o malley have fallen after his first real flurry of strikes of the bout( the most impressive moment besides Vera's elbows to O'Malley.).

for those that dont know, it was vera's leg kick at 2:20 that deaded sean's foot
That first elbow was for sure a flash KO. He came back to but the way his head rested for an instant was from a flash KO. O’Mally was fucked and was never coming back after that.
