Guys get scared when Hamburg rapper Mariybu unpacks the mic – and the stage burns when she delivers her show. Bass-heavy beats, unmistakable announcements and queer feminist empowerment – all brand Mariybu. With a strong opinion, progressive content and a powerful voice, she hits toxic and sexist dynamics exactly where it should hurt. At the same time, the talented artist proves that the fight against patriarchy and power imbalances also requires time for breaks, emotionality and vulnerability. In addition to countless live performances on large and local stages, Mariybu signed with the all female rap label 365XX in summer 2021 and released her second EP called “BITCHTALK” at the beginning of September – with which she catapulted herself to the top of German raps independent artists.
