Welcome to the newest installment to the Mario & Luigi RPG series for the Nintendo Switch, Mario & Luigi: Brothership! We all feared for the series after AlphaDream’s unfortunate fate, but looks like they gave it another go!

This playthrough is pretty much 100% blind. I’ve only seen the original reveal trailer, while Lenny only seen all officially revealed details. No leaks. No spoilers.
That said, try to keep spoilers out of the comments. I probably won’t read the until we’re done recording the whole series, but we are gonna try to bulk record to so we don’t have to worry about getting accidentally spoiled. So realize that any tips or advice probably won’t be reacted to or mentioned since we’re gonna be far ahead with recording.

Since I mentioned we can’t start a series without weird issues, one more ironic detail. I’m sorry for the weird audio. I messed up my recording settings and two separate audio tracks got layered, which gives the game audio some weird echo. I did re-record some cutscenes, but I couldn’t do the same for the gameplay.
Don’t worry, it’s only for the first recording session and I fix it afterwards. Only to not save the settings and then having the same problem in the THIRD session. But that’s the last one with issues. I PROMISE.

  1. This first superboss is really hard If You come here expecting nothing, the second one gets harder and then the third one just gets really hard tells on the base form is really annoying lol

  2. I'm glad they still have the boss rematches (and added gimmicks as well)
Still feels heavily neutered as they only be fought once, and there's VERY few rematches compared to DT and PJ
The Guardarm's becoming friendly NPCs is such a cute touch

  3. So the status debuffs seem to have variable turns. One of the defense down debuffs lasted two turns while another one lasted one. One lasted zero turns because the game glitched out and gave Mario another turn, but it seems to last until the specific Bros turn

  4. Didn't really struggle with Glohm Gobblick at all, even my first time doing it, because I came properly leveled and well equipped for it and didn't get steam-rolled like most other people, cause I didn't immediately do it as soon as it was available.

  5. Bosses are typically immune to dizzy/burn/freeze, but the status plugs also have a 15% damage bonus, so they're still useful against status-immune enemies!
(also the bonus stacks if you wear multiple status plugs)

  6. So fun fact I softlocked in this boss battle
Something to do with the plug that makes you survive lethal hit if you are at least at 2hp made some of the boss multi attack leave Mario at 0hp and still standing and made the game never go back to my turn
