Welcome to the newest installment to the Mario & Luigi RPG series for the Nintendo Switch, Mario & Luigi: Brothership! We all feared for the series after AlphaDream’s unfortunate fate, but looks like they gave it another go!

This playthrough is pretty much 100% blind. I’ve only seen the original reveal trailer, while Lenny only seen all officially revealed details. No leaks. No spoilers.
That said, try to keep spoilers out of the comments. I probably won’t read the until we’re done recording the whole series, but we are gonna try to bulk record to so we don’t have to worry about getting accidentally spoiled. So realize that any tips or advice probably won’t be reacted to or mentioned since we’re gonna be far ahead with recording.

Since I mentioned we can’t start a series without weird issues, one more ironic detail. I’m sorry for the weird audio. I messed up my recording settings and two separate audio tracks got layered, which gives the game audio some weird echo. I did re-record some cutscenes, but I couldn’t do the same for the gameplay.
Don’t worry, it’s only for the first recording session and I fix it afterwards. Only to not save the settings and then having the same problem in the THIRD session. But that’s the last one with issues. I PROMISE.

  1. Massive fan of of all the different islet name puns
I'm cautiously optimistic about the future of M&L and Paper Mario, Brothership and the TTYD remake doing well give me hope but I still have big concerns… especially with it feeling like the "restrictions" of the spin offs still feels to be at play. So anyones guess what they do for rpgs on the next console
    Galaxy 2 had Shiverburn galaxy

  2. I feel like the Ring Zok Troopers attacks being countered hurting them even tho it’s a projectile is them being connected to it wirelessly or something like that.

Or at least that the vibe I got from them.

  3. "Blarggs" is what I'd call the overarching category of elemental spirit monsters that hide under surfaces.
So far we've seen Lava, Water, and Sand variants of a few types, but they're predominately lava-based.

Blarggs (Super Mario World), are lava monster dinosaurs. I'd imagine they're undead dinos and they have a lava body that covers their skeletons.
Czar Dragon from RPG is a Blargg Dragon.
Hooktail and her siblings are also seemingly based on Blarggs. They may be relatives of the living versions of the Blargg dinosaurs.

Blarggs (Yoshi series), are just blobs of lava without much form. They are stationary and may block your path. Hitting them with an egg will cause them to retreat back into the lava.
    Nep-enuts are a water/goop variation.

Magmaarghs are Large lava monsters that pop out of the lava and slowly move forward.
Sandmaarghs are sand versions of Magmaarghs whose bodies are made up of sand instead of lava. They follow the player from under the sand and pop out to try and get you.

Magmaws are tiny versions of Magmaarghs that have nearly identical behavior, but are smaller. They resemble the blobby Blarggs from the Yoshi series a bit more than maarghs do.

Charvaarghs are snake-like Magmaarghs that leap out of the lava to attack the player.

Raarghs are dog-like Lava Monsters that sit against walls, waiting for players to pass before charging at them.

With the new world of warcraft and expansion and hero talents fire and frost mages can choose to be frostfirr mages and its pretty neat
