Lyrics:
Bad luck’s gotten a hold’a me
But it ain’t takin’ me down
Bad love’s taken its toll on me
I’m gettin’ up a’off the ground

Every minute every second
Of my life you tried to wreck it
Eight days a week
Every demon I would chase
It took the fear of God to face it
Hey hey hey…

Standin’ in the rain, waitin’ on a train
I got a one way ticket, never turnin’ back
Ridin’ out the pain, burnin’ in my brain
I’m gonna leave all my sins in the past
Like blood on the tracks

Sunrise blazin’ ahead of me
On the edge of Heaven and Hell
Freedom’s gonna feel like amphetamines
Ringin’ like the Liberty Bell
Everything I thought I needed
Cut me down and left me bleedin’
So bitter sweet
Every chance I ever wasted
Gonna grab it now and taste it
Hey hey hey…

Standin’ in the rain, waitin’ on a train
I got a one way ticket, never turnin’ back
Ridin’ out the pain, burnin’ in my brain
I’m gonna leave my sins in the past
Like blood on the tracks

  2. Maybe it is the wine, but I hear a great improvement in the vocals of Marcus. He was always a guitar virtuoso, but his voice was not on par. Until this. Feel free to disagree with me. Best wishes to all, Erik.

  3. Was literally just passed out before the NASCAR race when all of a sudden I'm woken up by a familiar guitar riff. It was Marcus king playing a custom version of The Well as the intro. So freaking cool!!!!!!

  4. The video production for all these songs from the new album is lazy and repetitive. You’ve got a once in a generation talent you’re trying to give a big push, get eyeballs on him, maybe invest a little in the videos because that’s what people expect of a national level artist. Also, get him collaborating with some big name artists, guest him on some pop songs like SRV with Let’s Dance or EVH with Beat It. That’ll raise his profile. Marcus can play anything so be adventurous with those choices. Have him burn on a Lizzo or Dua Lipa track.
