  1. when she talks about the inflatable things, my brain went straight to Family Guy. Wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man! Wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man! Wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man!

  2. The parallels with Mari & Haru's Father are almost equal how they both treated their employees. Poor Haru having to witness both sides of it must be quite traumatic. Give Haru a hug! 😭

  3. I love that Haru is getting a whole chapter focused on her. I think most of us can agree that of all the characters she got shafted the most in P5(R) what with Morgana and Ryuji taking the spotlight away from her introduction with their angsty bullshit, and then the big character moment when we confront Okumura for the Boss Fight being also given to, who else, Morgana. Heck, in Royal they even squeezed Sumire’s awakening into that chapter. Haru out of all our party members deserved to have a chapter completely dedicated to her without any distractions and I’m so happy that Strikers is giving us that.

Mariko actually reminds me a little of how P5(R) handled Sae and Makoto. Sae was someone who had an existing relationship with one of our party members and thus the party member became the meter for how distorted Sae was. But even with Sae we saw a couple glimpses of her softer self, like after she gets her calling card she offers to take Makoto on a spa trip. Similarly, Mariko still has this softness for Haru showing that she (like Sae) is not beyond saving if they can just reach out to her.

Oh, and perhaps the most important thing:

    Hee-ho!

  4. What’s funny is, in the Japanese version of the dialogue with the army of Jack Frost, instead of Ryuji, saying OK in a sad voice, he says he hoe in a sad voice instead. If only he did that in English too. Would’ve made it funnier, but that’s just me.
