  1. The leafs of the past would be thinking run and gun with the puck and making pretty plays. I don't know how many times years past people would be yelling at them t just shoot the puck . Good things can happen. They have completely changed there game play. My take was they were playing way more passive and waiting for Tampa to make a mistake. I wouldn't say Bunting is a better hockey player then Lafferty. Bunting has played with some elete players man so he's going get some points. Its a gamble to put him in the line up. Could work for or against them. I don't think its worth the risk . It will fire Tampa up and give them an edge I think….on the otherside it may just fire them up too much and make them take dumb penalties.

  2. Its all good we won but on to the next which is probably the most important game in leafs history for the last 10 or so years. Thursday they need to come out and put the boot on tampa bays neck and not let up if they wanna win the series

  3. Superstitious nonsense……. I just cannot get on board with. If you're sat there waiting for it to go tits up….. You're not really a fan worth having.
Claims that Matthews is the greatest. Wtf.
Marner is this teams best player……by a country mile.
Other than that……great show folks 🥴

  4. I am so glad we're not talking about the goalie.
Samsonov was solid. sometimes brilliant. and he was better than vasilevsky.
One of the greatest leaf wins IF they win the series.

  5. 2 things for leafs fans who r screaming that this is finally there year.
A 3-1 lead is very lose-able. They steal game 5 with there backs against the wall. Game 6 is in there barn and game 7s r 50/50s.
Next series is against boston whos been without there top 2 Cs and have been in a super physical series against a really scrappy FLA who have been fighting for there lives for the past 3 months. Be cautious about getting overly hyped if u beat tampa. They clearly have been showing cracks since there 2021 run

  6. Possibly my worst moment as a Leafs fan was the 2013 collapse to Boston. I was on vacation in the UK. I was checking updates on my phone. After the 2nd period and up 4-1, I needed some shut eye and feeling good. I wake up. Check my phone and scream WTF! Wrecked my vacation. Nice to be on the other side. ❤

  7. As fun as it is to come back & win after being down 4-1.. & as exciting as it is (for most fans) to be up 3-1 in the series.. NONE OF IT MATTERS unless they close it out.
So for all those saying "curse broken" "defeated their demons" "series over" 🤦🏻 is this the first time you watch the Leafs?!
Closeout games are the hardest & until that FINAL BUZZER goes off with the Leafs ahead it ain't over!

  8. Leafs are extremely fortunate that they are not down 3-1 to Tampa, and on their way out. Game 2 is the only decent 60 minutes they've played so far. Alarming how bad they've been, but good teams find a way to win. They might be finally figuring it out. Get to the dirty areas, pay the price, get into Vasilevsky's face. He can't stop what he can't see. Good to see Matthews act like he actually gives a sht. we've seen 3-1 leads before. They need to close this out on Thursday.

  9. You three are high if you think bunting deserves to bump anyone from that line up. Top three lines are playing better without him. And he’s not good enough defensively or heavy enough for that fourth line. AND lafferty speed trumps him on getting on the forecheck. Bunting is a liability and only getting back if someone is hurt or plays two bad games.

  10. Regarding Bunting: He obviously plays game six, the third line. I the Leafs stole two games. They need to better on the forecheck in game five to close out the series. Also, there won't be many penalty calls game 5, 6 or 7 (if history is a guide).

  11. Bunting can't be in the lineup. The whole "someone needs to talk to him" to get him to be the player they need is ludicrous. You don't think someone, EVERYONE, talked to him for weeks leading up to the Tampa match up? Corey Perry was licking his chops waiting to get under Bunting's skin for months leading up to this series and Bunting lost it. You can't trust him.

  12. Best thing with the Leafs is go with the flow; at least it’s gonna be a hell of a ride. This is from a guy who remembers as a kid the Leaf /Flyer 70s matchups. Always exciting

  13. It's obviously bad coaching and lack of changes that was bailed out by our offence 2 games in a row.

No change to gaining offensive zone. No changes on breakouts. No change on defending our blue line. No change to center ice and 2 way play.

TB has played better 9/12 regulation periods. We are extremely lucky to be up 3-1. We were close to 3 games like game 1 and could easily be down 3-1

  14. In 2013 Toronto held a 4-1 lead midway through the 3rd and then Boston roared back to tie it and win in OT. TEN YEARS later Toronto flips the script and history repeats itself when the Leafs storm back from being down 4-1 and tie it then win in OT. This series can go 5, 6 or 7 games. Either team can win it. Toronto now has the momentum. The easiest game for the Leafs to win is Game #5. Toronto must bury Tampa in Game #5. If the Bolts win, doubt will seed in the Leafs heads and Tampa will feel like they can win. They will be headed back to Tampa for Game #6 and they have won plenty of Game 7's before whereas the Leafs have lost them all.
