On 6 July 2023, a woman was shot dead outside the Shishu Nistha Niketan School in Manipur’s Imphal West district by unidentified assailants. The incident comes a day after schools were re-opened for students up to class 8 after a 2-month-long closure.

  5. My friends who are Meitei and Kukis are the most friendly and loving people i ever know and they live peacefully outside the state. Back home both the community should come together and find a solution. Please don't do this to one another. Let love win. Long live Manipur

  7. I don't support killing or I'm not saying killing men is right but how the hell on earth people kills innocent women? Whoever kill her doesn't matter but i wish to the one who kill her will not die normally. Only a coward will kill women

  12. She was a mentally challenged woman, its her normal duty to loiter around, for her its a normal day wid normal life. Sick pple, always thirsty for blood. Mentally challenged r also not safe in Imphal if u r KukiZo ethnic group. Itna nafrat kahase aata hai. These meitei goons r mentally sick themselves.

  15. At first, it was declared that there were no Kuki individuals residing in Imphal.
    However, unexpectedly, a woman of Kuki descent emerged only to meet a tragic demise.
    Surprisingly, no media outlet seems to possess any information regarding her, while the Kuki community maintains that she was indeed Kuki and had a mental disability. This has led to a prevailing concern that with the resumption of school operations, normalcy may be restored in Imphal. Consequently, it appears that Imphal is being deliberately targeted, evoking a sense that something is awry.
    Also, heard from Imphal that while she was undergoing questioning, a group of bikers appeared and fatally shot her in the forehead.

  19. I am a Meitei from Manipur. I never knew medias are this much dirty and divided with political Benefits, instead of digging the truth from both sides…the wire, the quint, lalantrop,the Hindu, Indian express, east mojo, and many others are highly biased against Meitei community just because Manipur is under BJP government. This is so unfortunate that medias today are not able to keep humanity and truth above their 'fit me' ideology and benefits.

    I highly condemned violence from both side. BUT, let me tell you why don't you report
    when a middle aged wood cutter from Kakching Khunou who went to Saikul(Kuki dominated area)for work before the violence was started ( May3 ), whom we thought was missing and later his dead body found recently. And a video resurfaced on social media where he was tortured and killed by kuki youths and millitants .

    Again, yesterday, a 19 year old student of 12 th standard was killed by kuki millitants from firing nearby when he was rushing to relief camp where his mother stays. There is also video of him laying dead on the road near his scooty in regional news channel. Some days before, 2 small kids were seriously injured in bomb attacked planned by Kuki millitants in Kwakta. There are many such hurtful incidents which these cheap national medias kept away fro the public just because Manipur is under BJP govt.

    Every videos on you tube are spammed with comments from Kukis spreading propaganda. Twisting every information in their favour. When Meitei volunteers are killed they will say why die in the hills ,,haha funny how cunning you guys are , if you search the places where MEITEI volunteers die, search in youtube to find out whether it is habitat by Meitei or kuki..you will find it has been mostly Meitei villages where kuki millitants keep comming and attacked the Meitei villagers there.

    And the Assam rifles support the kuki millitants because they have been used by AR as secret agents against Meitei insurgents since the soo is there.
