  1. My question is y did this hacker group not care that they where also releasing the info of the clients who had nothing to do with this? Like seriously these hackers need to get a life and stop being a bunch of anon wannabes. Like all they are is a bunch of a holes who don't deserve the air they breath.

  2. Clearly HBGary could have avoided all of this with some hoodies, scrolling green matrix text, and a quadrupling of the monitor budget, presumably skimmed from the lighting budget.

  3. Not a fan of these guys and think they should be broken up but damn is this guy is stupid for thinking he could take down a group of hackers that know each other through the internet. Hell anyone worth their salt in this type of field on the internet doesn’t keep anything on their cohorts in case they are compromised

  4. What's the thing? Something about "bull" and "horns"?
Anyway, just because you can teach other people how to be safe online, just because you can write tools to circumvent security controls, doesn't mean you can't still be dumb on your own networks.
And oh my god, the point of Anonymous was always that it was everybody and nobody, there is no permanent hierarchy and never has been. Anonymous was doing affiliate-based trolling-as-a-service before it even had a name.

  5. "I'm exposing this incredibly complex hacking group. My short, all in lower-case, with no symbols, and two WHOLE numbers password, that I use in ALL my accounts, should keep me safe."

  6. WOW – what a well put together documentary on this interesting subject. I try not to laugh or roll my eyes too much about how stoopid this guy was, because something like this could happen to any of us. It also just reminded me to get 2Fa setup on my parent's back accounts.

  7. What made this cat think he could do this without consequence?

Imagine thinking you're somehow smarter and more powerful than the world's most dominant hacker group.

This guy should've kept his face out of someone else's business and none of this would've happened.

  8. if Anonymous exist, I need a 20k euros (real money, not photos with 20k) on my bank account because I need for a mortgage :)).
Any other small things like having my mail or phone hacked, won't be considered as Anonymous but money :))
I wait for proof of their existence

  9. Personally it's going to come to the point when the government going to catch these guys. When you mess with the government their system with their money. That's when a new ball game plays in because the government will have their own hackers they'll set up their own rules all sorts of ways and it really fucks up the whole Community they use the internet just for blogs and searching for porn. The only thing I can really say is be careful and choose your battles wisely

  10. Lesson: The US Military will not prepare you in one singular field that a bunch of civilians do all day for the fun of it. It was pure hubris that Barr believed the Navy of all organizations would adequately prepare him for cyber security.
