  1. I lived in the Alaskan bush for 35 plus years. When they started running all the Alaska series, tons of would-be mountainmen showed up. Most bailed, the rest died. I would say 1 out of 100 stayed.
    It's amazing he lived being so young without having years of experience.
    This is an extremely rare outcome!

  2. FAKE. 1) The kid told the cops he had made a shelter and stayed there. 2) He's, apparently skilled with the outdoors. So why didn't he make a smoke signal fire? 3) The area where he was had plenty of wide open spaces, but yet, he didn't made any signs on the ground and never went there so he could be spotted. 4) Numerous helicopters roamed the area. A helicopter is slow and makes a lot of noise, but the guy never went in the open to be spotted. The cops say they can't press charges because no "crime" was committed.
