Man shot to death in Santa Monica; female shooter at large



The search for a female shooter is underway after a man was gunned down in Santa Monica Thursday morning. The Santa Monica Police Department responded to a report of shots fired on the 2600 block of 29th Street just before 10:30 a.m. On the scene, police discovered a male gunshot victim who was later transported to a local hospital. Witnesses said the man was seen badly bleeding inside the car.

He later died from his injuries at the hospital, police said. Video from Sky5 showed police inspecting a black Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV at the crime scene. The driver’s side window of that car was completely shattered and what appeared to be blood was seen on the driver’s side door on the the street.

  1. People have to wake up to reality, there is no safe neighborhoods in LA anymore, no matter whether its Ghetto or Wealthy high income area. And dont forget to thank yourselves you all voted for all this, so now deal with it!

  2. Many are ignoring a common thread in stories being reported throughout SoCal. Far too many interviewed say they can't believe something like this happened in their community. How many incidents does it take for them to believe it can happen?

  3. The parking meters in front of those businesses are only for 10-15 minutes. He was most likely someone who worked in the immediate area. The parking meters in front of those businesses where he was parked are only 12 or 15 minutes. He was either running into Starbucks, picking up dry cleaning, or doing some other quick errand.
    Somewhere in Los Angeles a family is grieving from this senseless tragedy.

  4. It certainly is shocking that someone has a gun…where did she get it? I thought making guns harder to get means we won't need them because the bad guys won't have guns anymore.
