  1. A family friend was killed in 2000 by a driver in a souped up street racer going 170kph down a busy road in Toronto in mid-afternoon. He did 9 months, because Canada.

  2. He's partially to blame. He made a bad decision with the worst possible outcome. Who I feel bares more bruden? The system that profits from selling alcohol. It's worse than any drug out there because it's accepted and sold anywhere.

  3. I lost my best friend in a very similar accident. Drunk driver (who had a history of alcohol issues and was going nowhere in life) struck a car carrying my friend and three others (all in their early 20's with bright futures) and three of them died. They would not give the drunk driver a plea deal and he ended up getting life in prison for three counts of second degree murder (same as this case). Not sure why this guy got a plea deal and only 22 years, seems like if this went to trial he wouldn't have fared well.

  4. How could this guy not notice he’s going the wrong way for 15 miles on I17, phoenix is the fifth largest city in the US, he had to of been passing cars even in the middle of the night, signs backwards, etc. how drunk was this dude, should be multiple life sentences. Horrible tragedy.

  5. Who does the sentencing years? A child?? Does 20 years seem like a long time? Concurrently per girl? I thought that it had to be consecutively to give each girl her due. They fought so hard to live. At least the community could give him a lifetime behind bars to live in a structured environment with a routine life, eating three meals a day to help him keep himself from drinking and driving and drinking and driving the wrong way and drinking and driving the wrong way into a multitude of cars. You know he is subconsciously asking for that because he knows he cannot even help himself. Look at him. Look at his picture. If you cannot lock him up for each one of those girls, at least knock him up for himself. Now, we all have to live in fear of him For at least two generations, thank you judge.

  7. The more I saw these senseless accidents, the more I think of the movie 'Miss Sloane' when she talks about the second amendment referring to not just a gun control but also the type of operating machines that are complicated like cars. The more complicated a machine is, the more rigorous a test should be. Even though it's only a movie but it makes perfect sense in a real life. We should have seen a much fewer accidents and deaths.

  8. I find it very odd that nobody is talking about banning alcohol 🍺.. If firearms were involved people would be talking about banning firearms & passing more stupid laws.
    Priorities I guess 😂🎉
