Great episode as always….love the "C20 Rewind" at the start, easier to know if its older footage or current. You got some great shots with the fireman at that recycling place. Then when you jumped on the escalator at next call, had hoped you would grab that awesome shot of going down and you never disappoint!! That truly was an amazing shot while going down!! Wouldn't it be handy if you had escalators everywhere you went to get those awesome shots going from those heights to get all angles. Can't wait for the next one!!
Zak – your soliloquy at the end of this video was impressive and touching. It says a lot about you – all good. It is because of your intelligence, talent and work ethics that landed you where you are at these times. The scenes of the streets tonight are horrifying, but you are called to document the degradation. Maybe you cannot solve the problems there, but by documenting it on film, you may be the catalyst to enable resolutions in the future. Stay safe – and warm.
Great Work Guys! Been to a few recycleing Center and indoor garbage transfer station fires they always suck. I would rather deal with a structure fire smell anytime:)
I really enjoy your channel, I saw LA in the very early 80's when I went to visit family, I live in South Australia. It was bad then on skid row, but it looks really bad now, this is so unfortunate. I would also like to add to your soliloquy, it was a very loaded question, but you made it feel real. Keep up the great work, and see you in the next episode.
hi zak i live in australia and i was a funeral director and we had the contract for the corner and i know what you see and do i still have flash backs about what ive see i havs post tormactic disstessed symdrom
@Zak Holman, I truly believe you are one of LA's best! You show the truth in a respectful way. I like you having a lighthearted attitude because I don't think you would make it through all you see day to day without it. We all see the bad things around us but I firmly believe we are always able to see good when we look for it too. Life for you there in LA is so very different than that of a lot of us in our little towns & states, which is part of the draw for me. I love to learn about all areas & people but it is getting harder to find those who show all aspects of an area in a tactful way, especially you young kids (yup, I'm showing my age!). You and your whole crew are such a great group. Thank you & stay as you are! 💞
Great video! Your outlook on LA was awesome. I thank God that I raised what y'all might call Green Acres. We're a bunch hillbillies here in So. Ohio and yes some has called me Jefro. But where you hang yall's hat should be called home but some people are not that blessed to have that privilege. Stay save my western cameraman!
Thanks, Zak !
What was that cross?
Zak, did you break your right ankle sometime?
I think Zak should be a spokesperson for the homeless
