A quick walkthrough for how to kill Malenia, Blade of Miquella with little trouble — including the second phase, Goddess of Rot.
It does rely on using a particular build, arcane with dragon communion seal, and an OP bleed incantation, swarm of flies. However, if this fight is giving you a lot of trouble, it could be worth a bit of farming and two larval tears to take advantage of this extremely easy kill method. Build particulars are shown at the end of the video.

try frost as well (since she is plant based it does increased damage lol), I used hoarfrost stomp and it was basically bullying her 😔

Used a modified version of this strat and build since I did the fight at SL69. Took a number of tries, but it worked like a charm! I found that the key was to mix and match the flies with the attacks with the curved swords and not just rely on the flies only. This gave my Mimic enough life and estus charges for Phase 2 to tank the boss while I spammed the flies. Intense fight overall but this tip worked like a charm!

Sweet, I was playing a blood dragon build anyway and had the spell in hand. Only thing I did different was use Alecto instead of the mimic (+10). He is way tankier than the mimic and is more agile. Also he will break her poise and build bleed.
Tried easily more than any boss on her and did this my first real attempt with a little change. I had 2 moonveils i had gotten and only 1 of the scavengers worked the same its really the damage being super high and fast while you spam the swarm thanks for this guide
still cant beat her, she heals beating mimic and i cant even beat her to half with this strat, but normaly with two bleed twinblades i reached second stage, but every time im dying of this fucking spam attacks… Anyway, i give up, that's all, killed almost every boss in game solo, but this shit is crazy

Interesting strategy. Straight up doesn't work for me in 10 attempts. level 150. My mimic AI won't attack her.

Finally beat her this way on my secont try! I honestly felt a little bad because of the cheese though haha. Seeing how many runes I got afterwards it made me think maybe this fight was meant for the "true end game" after I beat the game, like even though I made it here I'm not meant to be strong enought to beat her just yet? Idk, but I was shocked at how hard she was after 20-30 tries as a level 150 mage. Thanks again though!
