Making Terracotta Garden Pot | Hand Built Terracotta Planter | Ceramic Garden Plant Pot

My little citrus tree needed a home so I hand built it a terracotta pot out of heavily grogged terracotta stoneware. I love the mediterranean style of an amphora and though this would be the perfect design choice for this citrus tree planter.
The garden pot took about 4 hours to hand built (with some coffee breaks of course). I fired it only once as I like the raw look of unglazed terracotta and the colour it produces at this stage. Second firing in higher temperature would make the clay body quite a lot darker.
I hope you enjoyed the video! Thank you for watching.
