Make your $65 Seiko look like a $2000 tool watch

More than likely, if you are watching my channel, you own this watch. . . the Seiko SNK809 military watch. Considered by many to be the gateway watch into the hobby. The biggest issue is there was never a good bracelet – until now!

This bracelet is the perfect reason to fall in love with your mighty SNK809K2 again!

  1. Marc, that’s not only my first Seiko, but I’m wearing it right now! Blue dial. I have it on brown leather right now, but it’s just not right. The bracelet makes much more sense.

  2. Shame more field style watches don't have sand blasted finishing.

I have two Citizen promasters. Brushed, its okay but that sand blasted look is so great on a tool watch.

  3. Ya know don’t need this but damn it’s beautiful! Love my Snk809 (thanks Urban Gentry!) on a NATO but this Really elevates it.
I’m seeing the Snk800 series on Amazon from $175-$219 depending on the color. Amazing. Original MSRP was $185 and I got mine from Mark for $115 a few years ago. Just wild how scarcity breeds value.

  4. Hi Mark. I love your channel. I’m curious if you can recommend a watch that looks like Blancpain 50 fathoms with 200m water resistance. Quartz probably as I don’t want to spend more than $100. I like a NATO band not bracelet. Every dive watch I see seems to look like Rolex sub or a Tudor black bay. Thanks

  5. Great bracelet.

But this video is a proper demonstration that the age old method of fitting metal bracelets with spring bars simply makes no sense. Even a pro like Marc struggles a bit not to scratch the case.

I would happily trader unlimited strap/bracelet options for a simple and reliable mechanism to secure bracelets to my watches (think Vacheron Constantin Overseas)

  6. Mine is a K1, this looks to be a significant improvement, it's now with Double domed sapphire and wearing a milanese looking great. I've got an 803 and an 805 so one of these could serve on all three.
