  1. @2:02 There's not a lot of things that can withstand the heat and blast force of all of those Raptor engines, but one of those things needs to be the OLM.
I suspect that SpaceX will need to surround the OLM with a complete water jacket with top-side holes to let the steam escape, and a water deluge system.

  2. They need a 2 million gallon water tower with 30" rain bird deluge pipe. Also, there should be a blast tunnel directing the flame and water in one direction. The launch base needs to be encased. Flooding the blast tunnel cuts down sound and protects the concrete.

  3. I mean isn’t it obvious they just need an orange juicer shaped structure underneath the booster made out the same material as the heat tiles. They can take the impact of the ultra hot jet and then redirect it all outward between the legs🙄

  4. Elon’s hubris, thinking a deluge system might not be needed when they first started building the tower is what got them into this problem. NEXT? Better START thinking about an ABORT SYSTEM for SShip! NASA and the FAA ain’t gonna let you fly humans on it without some way to LAND in case of an emergency. They SHOULD HAVE done afew MORE LANDINGS to SHOW they can land this thing with legs. You REALLY think FAA is going to TRUST you catching SShip with people on board?

  5. Need a video explaining WHY there is no Blast Tunnel???? I have Never Understood the theory of sending exhaust Straight Down to be Diverted Randomly EVERYWHERE. There must be a reason, they are not stupid over there, but I need some edumacating on that one.

  6. I'm literally praying that our space travel advancements push us towards the stars sooner rather than later. As in my life time!! I would love nothing more than seeing a system in place where we're traveling back and forth to Mars ….. before I die! Lol

  7. the concrete under the launch pad does not support the launch pad, the large round pipes standing are planted many feet under the ground and filled with steel reinforced concrete. the concrete under the launch pad is there to deal with the rocket exhaust forces and needs to be fixed, but i'll bet Elon and team can figure that one out

  8. If we know anything about anything, we should be asking why we haven't tried an oblative heat shield on the pad. Something cheap to make and form, yet designed to be durable enough to hold up to the force and last long enough so as to not completely burn away from a single launch. Just throwing out ideas here, but hempcrete is supposedly rather durable and flame retardant. That being said, everything burns if it's hot enough.

  9. I've been thinking that sometime in the future we might have ships that are built in space that resemble what we see in science fiction, however because of the gravity well these ships would never leave space so they travel from one orbit to the next and they could theoretically carry a lot more payload between the planets.
