  1. The best gens were fifth and sixth for me personally. Older were good for 2D and getting gaming started but I think the early 3D era kept that creativity besides the 3D perspective allowing for so much, the experimenting (I care about games I never played before. Not nostalgia just genuinely great idea never done again and the standards of games now are so safe and trendy and copy paste and lazy) was awesome these days a lot of soul is gone.

A lot of clones don't get the inspiration or uniqueness they are going for.

Metroidvanias get the games they are inspired by and have the soul and creativity put into them, they heavily research their favourite games and they get those games inside and out.

Visual novels and souls clone games are so bad (visual novels especially it's like playing a fandub/a bad abridged series it's awful) I find each one in the west to be a joke and don't get the elements of them.

Which as the west goes for trends and copy pasted. Certain western Indies or Japaese Devs look back and understand the inspirations they work from. Point n clicks and Metroidvanias do things so well.

  3. I wish I could remember my console. I had a lot of different ones but they were my brother's or later became mine. Ps2 and on the go consoles. Psp, gameboy, ds, and gameboy but I never had that many games for them. The most important console for me was the 360. The Wii was fun too but again all I had were the 2 greatest games of the Wii. Mario party 8 and Galaxy. Ok the not the best but up there.

  4. Ps2 are the best, even after having the next gen because the play time are becoming more less and almost no more real playing together friends mostly bussy or feeling to old for playing games, in exception for online not really know real or bots online game friend.

  7. Hi. I have niece(s)/nephew(s) i would like to buy a console for (preferably PS2/XBox 360). I was thinking something like Tetris, Katamari, Pacman World, Lego games, and Minecraft would be better games to start off with. What do you think is the minimum age to start/hold a controller? Any other advice or suggestions?
