  1. That is so cool! I was able to find one. It was made in 1995 and out of oak. I will post some pictures once I have it. Thank you for posting about it. I am always looking for unusual items.

  2. I hope the black ink on your finger does not mean suffering the same fate as Venantius of Salvemec and Berengar of Arundel as in the 1986 feature film "The Name of the Rose", based on the 1980 novel of the same name by Umberto Eco.

  3. Nice craftsmanship. Just speculating, the cover boards might be studier as a laminate with inner layers short, leaving a channel for the leather. Routing the edge of a plank must have some risk for fracture.

    If anyone tries that, remember exposure to epoxy can create a nasty sensitivity. Never touch uncured epoxy. Be safe!
