  1. I absolutely love the garnet yarn 😮 garnet is my birthstone. Such nice happy mail. I think a gemstone blanket would be fascinating 😊. I love shawls 🤪 I cant stop thinking about making them 😂. I really love the yellow and the grey

  2. I'm tempted to make a blanket too. I got two skeins. So I could either hold it double and change the second skein color halfway through the skein to have a more gradual color change. Or I could just use one of each color on the blanket and have a second skein for other projects.

  3. how about a cute lil vest for bingo – blanket would be hard to clean – I personally would make something smaller – sorrry if I am to forward with advice – don't feel you have to take it – have a good day thanks for sharing

  4. I had been meaning to ask you how you set up your Amazon wish list. Does the item come off the list once someone has purchased it? Do you get notification that someone has purchased 'xyz' from your wish list?
I've been trying to figure out what to do with my gemstone yarn too. I got in late so I told her if she doesn't have any more dk, that fingering would be fine. So when I get mine and see what weight I get, I'll better know what I might do… Maybe. 😂 I love the idea of the blanket, which was my first intention. But the thought of hand washing and laying flat a blanket seems unrealistic. Not that it can't be done but where would I personally have the space. I'm thinking I'm going to make a wrap, shawl, or cardigan using just a few rows and make hats with the left overs. Possibly baby hats if I don't have much yardage left, as I have a grandbaby that will be seven months old on the 4th. 🎉

  5. I like the birthstone blanket idea. It will be decadent, but it will be so soft and luxurious when watching TV as a family! I also always think shawls and cowls, etc. for these yarns because of the yardage. How about pairing the Ball Drop with a yellow or black or grey yarn to make a sweater for Bingo? Let the hand dyed shine and support with a base color? Trying to expand but it doesn't seem easy! 😅Baby steps!

  6. That rack is a great idea. I was thinking that you could make Bingo a really cute vest from that beautiful yellow/gray yarn from Thryss. Or you could add in some more greys to get enough to make her a sweater. I agree the yarns in a set don't need to be all in one project. Think about Fairisle ! Or Nordic using cream with that garnet….

  7. I actually made a blanket with handy yarn from leather company. They had a Gilmore girls themed yarn, and I made it for my granddaughter. It was pretty pricey, but I think she’ll have it forever.

  8. I got the birthstone yarn and am thinking a blanket. Now i just need to decide on a stitch. (or stitches i guess). Squares? c2c? stitch sampler? something else? the possibilities are endless. lol

  9. That was so sweet of Diamond getting you the rack for your yarn….awesome idea too!
Omgosh the Garnet yarn is absolutely stunning!🙌🧶 when you said maybe a blanket with it…I thought..Wowza that will be amazingly beautiful but drying a blanket lying flat would be difficult…not impossible just difficult I think.
Maybe you could make a wide rectangle wrap using some of each month’s yarn and have a Birthstone Wrap. I’m really not sure hon…so sorry! But it is gorgeous.
The zebra yellow & gray yarn is pretty too. I don’t buy much yellow yarns either but what about a vest & hat for Bingo.

Glad you got some Happy Mail and shared it with us. Have a great day!
    😊🧶🦋💜

  10. I'm using all the mini hand dyed skeins I've accumulated in advents and fiber festivals to make myself a blanket using a pattern I found called minis in a blanket by Beata jezek of hedgehog fibers. The pattern is for a baby blanket but I'm making it bigger. The way the yarns are doubled and mixed is beautiful. I'm sure to make it the size I want I'll end up putting a few full size skeins in too. But I don't wear shawls or cowls and I want to enjoy the beautiful yarn I love!
