A mixed bag today. Some more cheap fountain pens, a nifty (and very tiny) transparent dropper pen, a leather notebook that I’ll be using for a forthcoming project, some saddle soap and some Renapur, a leather conditioner that I rate very highly.

I am excited to see what you come up with. I do a bit of leatherwork and have built a plotter clone with some 13mm (5 rings) rings and the mini size inserts fit great. I have also been taking cues from your videos and making my own inserts. It is a very straightforward build and I have been using it daily as my wallet and notebook. I even built a plotter style page lifter pen loop that carries a Kaweco liliput brass pen for my daily note jotter. I used thinner leather than the travelers style notebooks but it still is stiff enough to keep its shape and thin enough for great flatability. I do wish as well that filofax or someone would come out with an affordable version in this configuration. Thank you for all the inspiration and information.
I knew exactly what it was when I saw "September Leather". The longer elastic is so you can add another notebook to the cover by running the mounted notebook through the second elastic you can use the end that ends up on the outside of the notebook to thread a second notebook. I am probably not explaining that very clear but if you search youtube for "add notebooks to TN" you should be able to find a video that explains it better.
Dropper pens use silicon grease to seal them. I use my bassoon's silicon grease on dropper pens when they get dry. Otherwise they tend to leak.
