i resaw love actually last year. still good to me, no problems. a bit long though and i didnt care about every story. make it about 3 different people instead of forty and we got a gem! my favorite holidy themed film is also my favorite film period: adventures in babysitting. not explicitly said in the film but its clearly christmas eve (or new year's eve). but i go with new years eve as it would explain why the parents couldnt get home from their office party til after midnight.and why despite the christmasy toy department display no one says merry christmas or bring up why christy wouldnt be at home with her family instead of babysitting folks.
love bringing down the house. watched it too much so its not as funny as it used to be but its till my favorite queen latifah film. i just never got why charlene and steve martin's character didnt get together. that was what they were building up to. they were doing love letters, she bonded with the kids, his ex wife had that young hot man, she opened him up and loosened him up and then at the end: she gets with his business partner and his wife drops the hotter and goes back to him…………NOPE. they never sat right with me, even as a kid. despite that gripe, i still watched it a million times. and a few times last year 🙂

OMG! The Golden Compass (His Dark Materials) was a great movie and the books are even better. The book lovers hated the movie and ruined it.

Being reminded of the terrible movie that was “Bringing Down the House” made me think of the many 2000s movies Steve Martin was in in general and how they aren’t very good 😔 I love him and Martin Short in Only Murders in the Building though.

I had to watched Blow up(4:15) at movie class, the teacher explained all this sexual metaphors in the movie. The movie and the teacher didn't convince me, I don't like this movie. I had bad memories from all the movie classes, I almost started to hate movies.

I watched it first then I watched your video about it, I loved it both. I saw already all movies you talked about in Hitchcocktober, including Marnie… I was like…Sean Connery in a Hitchcock movie… I have to watch. I didn't recognize all what you said in the video at the time I watched it, but i was a beginner back then.
