  1. The Halifax Mooseheads are a Major Junior hockey team, that play in the QMJHL league. It’s the highest level of Junior hockey before players turn pro. Unfortunately, we don’t have an NHL team or any other pro hockey team in Halifax, so the Mooseheads are the highest level local team that we can support.

Several former Mooseheads have gone on to become stars in the NHL, so we can take pride in that and say that we got to see them play before they made it. Nathan MacKinnon is the biggest one. He just won the Stanley Cup last year with Colorado.

They’re doing great this year. Currently second place in the league and I expect them to go far in the Playoffs, so we’ll see what happens.

The name Mooseheads originally comes from a beer of the same name, which was the original sponsor of the team. They no longer are, but the name stuck. Let me know if you have any more hockey questions!

Dartmouth is on the other side of the harbour from Halifax. It’s like the sister city, and after amalgamation, is now a part of the Halifax Regional Municipality.

  2. Hello from Nova Scotia! Oh Tash, you made me laugh so hard when you taste tested the ketchup chips. I really hate them too. I am so glad you love Canada as much as I love Australia. Visited in 2011. I could have done without the Hunstman spider in our hotel room though! Yikes!

  3. Tash, I'm Canadian, and I don't like the ketchup chips either. It that's what ketchup really tasted like, I'd dislike it too. Thankfully it doesn't, lol!
How do I join your discord? That sounds fun!

  4. Your enthusiasm for our country just fills my heart 🙂 You bring joy every video. You're an honorary Canadian now. Ketchup chips and All Dressed chips are not everyone's cup of tea for sure! Hawkins Cheezies are the best!! Lucky!! I haven't seen Laura Secord for years (not in Western Cañada for years…best ice cream ever). Cheers!

  5. I bought the Moosheads T-shirt before you reacted to Halifax and before you reacted to Moose 😄 so I'm glad you have become a fan of both lol. I'm glad you like them
Also, Dartmouth is pronounced like Dartmyth. It's kind of like Plymouth being pronounced Plymyth

  6. I could be wrong but I think on the second box of maple cookies the mountains pictured are Moraine Lake in Banff which used to be featured on our $20 bill. Now we have a picture of the Monument celebrating our heroes who sacrificed their lives at Vimy Ridge. Not to take away from their sacrifices but I kind of liked seeing mountains on the $20.

  7. A huge shout-out to Gamex and Andrea for their generosity! Tash, you bring so much joy to everyone through your channel. This is a perfect example of "you get what you give". Lookin' forward to you and Braith at the tastin'. As we say on Da Rock, "long may your big jib draw" (best wishes for wherever the sea of life takes ya).

  8. A small note…the name of the city is actually pronounced DarthMooth, even though it's spelled Darthmouth. Concerning the Maple Syrup, Quebec actually produce 75% of ALL Canadian Maple Syrup, to the point where we created the Strategic World Reserve of Maple Syrup, located in Quebec of course!

  9. My fave hack for maple syrup is beets. Know how you boil them to all heck to soften them up? For first half of the boil use water as normal. For the second half, usually at a point when you add more water to replace what has boiled off, use maple syrup instead of water. Try it!

  10. FYI, Ketchup chips are like Beetroot on Burgers. Awful tasting the first time or two you try it, but the taste comes around after a few tries, trust me. I dislike the Beetroot on my Burger at the start but grew to enjoy it later on. Beetroot on Burgers in Canada not available as an option unless you are at home.

  11. Hi Tash ~ the maple “candies” are actually maple “sugar”. It is fantastic to sweeten your coffee with, instead of plain old sugar!

You received these gifts because you bring so much JOY, positivity, and a generous, honest heart…something rarely demonstrated online these days! So THANKS for being a ray of sunshine! Hope you and your family (fur babies too) have an AWESOME weekend!! Enjoy the “sugar high” -LOL!🇨🇦🙃🇦🇺

  12. Het Tash! You can say mooses if you want; while moose is the gramatically correct plural, a lot of us use "mooses" playfully, like saying gooses instead of geese.

Just a little edit. You're not alone on the ketchup chips! They're not everyone's cup of tea.

  13. I must be the only Canadian who doesn't like maple syrup. LOL. It's just way too sweet for me. And the cookies and candy are even sweeter than the syrup. When she put the maple candy in her mouth, my gut did a little flip. Bleh. LOL. The only thing that goes in my pancakes is butter and homemade sugar free jam. LOL
