  1. Canada Post workers are better off then 99% of Canadians, employees with over five years of service cannot be laid off, ever. employees who cannot be actively assigned work remain employed and continue to receive their salary and benefits, even if there is no work available for them to do, they remain on the payroll. All we wanted was 1 day, Christmas and they ruined it

  2. If postal workers cared about anybody else besides themselves they would have gone on strike at a different time of year instead of just before Christmas.
I know it is a bargaining tactic so they can get what they want easier but they’re basically just hurting the whole country. Businesses have been hurting because of Covid. Now the postal workers have gotten everybody by their short and curly to try and extort what they want. I really don’t feel anything for the postal workers because they are just hurting everybody and they really don’t care.

  3. Why has the government who is supposed to oversee their crown corporation……allowed this board of directors to still have a job? If a company was losing this much money since 2018 wouldn’t you change the leadership??? They have been in negotiations for a year, then they have the gull to blame the union and workers when they purposefully extended their contract through the pandemic. This is ridiculous shame on the government.

  4. The union is screwing deliveries over, not Canada Post. They should of taken the 11 % they were offered and split the work week so they could do 7 day work week. No part timers and they get their 40 hours weekly. Some work Sunday to Thursday and the other half work to cover Friday to Tuesday. They could rotate too so they don't whine about always getting a shift they don't like. Canada Post owns 91 % of Puralator. Shut it down and start over or only have Canada Post cover the out of regular service areas, maybe deliveries once or twice a week.
